What was the song playing already? :D

PjotrStroganov, I agree with you on many points, but we already had this discussion in may threads over Iraq... And unfortunately very little common ground has been found in huge amounts of words.

Just have a look in the few threads about the subject in the opinion forum...

Why, because of the weapons of mass destruction that are not there? Or the terrorists which Hussein had few to no connections with?
Except the $25000.00 he gave to families of suicide bombers. Except the missles he fired at Israel. Except the war we won over ten years ago, the terms of which Saddam simply refused to comply with. Except the fact that Iraq is in the middle of Radical Millitant Ismalic-land.

You imply that Iraq and the world were better off with Saddam and the Baathists in power. Is that true?

lol, stop putting words in others person´s mouth. So if Bush is not atacking North Korea is because he thinks the world is better off with Kim Jong II (is that the guy´s name?) in power? That´s bull****.

Oh the irony. I actually just asked him what what he meant. You, on the other hand...

But he is taking action, along with China, Japan, Russia, and S. Korea. Didn't you know about that?

We're not attacking them because America doesn't just go off and invade whatever country we feel like . We attempt (for a long time) to work things diplomatically.

That's what's being attempted with NK right now. If it doesn't work, maybe we'd have to take action.

Yes, that´s what I meant.

I get your drift. Hope you won't commit suicide over and over again :P

In a nutshell. I a thinking that the US is taking actions on it's own while Bush is in power. I had hopes that if the democrats would win, diplomatic relations with other western countries(and 3rd world countries) would improve and because of that military actions would be taken by the UN with the US as a part of it. Now the US is doing thing on it's own and is distancing itself from the rest of the world.

A Democrat?

Ha!

You do know that Kerry did vote for Operation Iraqi Freedom and would have done the exact same as Bush?

Military actions my the UN?

Ha!

The UN did nothing for 10 years while Saddam murdered his own people while the UN profited from blood money. It was only until the US took control did something get done about it.

I'm down, yo. Gotta wait for the lady to graduate college though. We're thinking something near a coast - great lakes don't count. Either that or the UK or Australia.

Spare room, champ. Just let me know.

The US has never acted alone, it does have allies ;) The Netherlands being one of them at the moment :)
But the question, why doesn't the UN take action still remains. They are meant to be the security council for the world, yet they seem to do nothing for world security. In my view it is an ageing, impotent, sloth like organisation and is haemorrhaging respect. For example during the build up to the Iraq war, the representative for human rights abuses was a member from Syria :dunce:
How does that work? They are one of the biggest offenders.

Joke in the UN Council Chamber:
Q: So how are the figures for human rights abuses this month
Syria: well...figures are down, we need to improve efficiency, maybe increase the hours of abuse per week to get them back up to quota

Yeah, the current situation is much better. Loads of allied soldiers being killed, and maybe ten times as much Iraqis. The fact that this war is being used by extremist to prove their point that the West is aiming to destroy the Islam is also really helping the situation. Starting this war has ony destabilised the world situation given extremists more power and has not stopped the killing.

The Netherlands being one of them at the moment

I'm really not proud of it............. The coalition in our government consists of parties that weren't even the biggest after elections.

The fact that you say that my and your government are helping the global community doesn't make it so. I wonder if you have read the rest of my posts in this topic, because it becomes very clear that I think they aren't really helping.

(Bush Wins!!!!!)........damndamndamndamndamndamndamndamndamndamndamn

Well put. 👍 Keep up the good work, the IQ level of this discussion is still too high.
Agreed. You should read some of his other posts, where he says "Long live Israel," "For rapists, cut of his c*ck and stick it up his a$$," and "Blame Canada, Blame Canada."

Obviously, he's got absolutely nothing of worth to say.
