Well let's be honest just for the pleasure of driving into the sunset with one of the best physic systems there is on console, i will buy GT6.

But; it seems that yet again PD has neglected desperate cries from their fanbase to update aspects that everyone wanted improved for years now.... They don't have to listen to us if you think of it; GT is the only choice as a racing simulation for all those punters out there with a playstation so the millions are practically guaranteed.

That's why for the first time ever (i purchased all versions of GT new on release); i will wait a month and buy it second hand at a reduced price.

Best way to get a message across in these cases is when it hurts someone's wallet don't you think?

I don't think PD is going to feel the affects of your pre-owned purchase but good for you for sending a message.

So you want the game but don't want to support PD because they didn't implement a certain feature you wanted?
A certain feature? There's the AI, the sounds, the standard cars, the crappy event system, the paint chips, the absence of desirable new cars, the lack of a livery editor...

Yeah, I'm sure one guy in Spain buying the game 2nd hand will really get the message across, haha.
Someone has to start these kind of things ;)

I will still buy GT6 on day one. The way I see it, saving just 30 bucks and have to wait a whole new month is not worth it at all (that's if you're even sure you'll find it second hand after just one month). There are many other games that people don't hesitate to buy, yet they don't offer one quarter of what GT offers. With so many things to do in the game, by the time you start feeling the repetitiveness, I'm sure there will be quite a few DLC packs available already.

But I guess it's a matter of personal choice.

Alls I'm gonna say is that it ends in you giving them your money anyway just a little less.;)

Thats where you are mistaken good sir, that copy was already bought once by the original user (nothing i can do about that), i'm giving him my money but he can use that on chicken wings or beer rather than PD having sold an extra copy ;)
For every one of you, they will pick up a new customer that replaces you anyway. Your second-hand purchase will do absolutely nothing.

I don't think that you'll save a huge amount of money if you buy it just a month after the release. If it was a year or so maybe you could get it half price, but just for saving 10€ and not being able to enjoy the Special Edition features... In my opinion it won't work.

However you must also know that there may be some features and cars to reveal in the official game presentation, so be patient ;)

This would be kind of be understandable if PD didn't acknowledge 6 out of 7 of those things.I don't think they can acknowledge certain cars the fans want... at least publicly.

Well i have to say today i went to my local gamestop and there was a COD ghost pre own copy fro ps3

Please, tell me more about this mysterious math that means for certain GT6 will sell more than GT5.
That's not what I said. I'm saying for everyone that throws a hissy fit and says they won't buy the game, there's bound to be a new comer to the series that in effect replaces that person. Common sense really.

Ah, I was wrong then. For those who are disappointed with the game and don't want to buy it after purchasing the previous title (read: hissy fit, apparently), someone will buy the copy new that they're passing over. So it's not that GT6 will sell more than GT5; it'll sell the same amount.

Common sense that certainly applies to all consumer products, right? How do sales numbers ever get lower, then?

I really want to agree with your logic, no Premium or even additional RUFs is unacceptable to me but I guess the less stuff we get in GT the more High quality stuff we get.. excluding the sound of course.. I just hope they stick to their guns and not turn it all around so we have to fork out for a Playstation 4. I would like to see the sound update inside 2 months.

Reading too much into it much slip? When some one breaks up with their partner and someone say theres plenty of fish in the sea that don't mean go mate with a fish.

Hmm,Delta chicken wings?!

Blame Disney and Ariel!

My point is it's an incredibly simplified, hopeful statement fueled with bias. Not very surprising given the source, but not an accurate one.

Your guess is as good as mine?

Bravo to you for having more self control then myself. For the longest time I was going to pass up GT6 alltogether, but after Drive Club's delay, and the fact I havent bought a new racer since GT5 brought me to my knees. Its really rather unfortunate, because its going to be so cumbersome switching between PS3 and PS4. Why is there not a PS4 version of this game again?

One thing is for sure though, GT6 will be on a much shorter leash then GT5 was to me. I tolerated GT5 for 2-3 months then let it go. If we get another pathetic career mode, I will be selling the game to gamestop sooner rather then later, putting the money towards a Drive Club preorder

Yeah, when GT5 came out I swore I would buy GT6 used. GT5 was too unfinished, with a clunky ui, and generally not as much fun as gt4. There's enough fun to be had that I don't want to feel like I'm 'shorting' myself out of an experience (there's no reason to punish myself), so used makes sense. There are a few developers out there that while I somewhat enjoy their games, I don't support their policies, so I won't put food into their mouths. I have a 10+ year grudge against sega for anti-consumer policies with PSO, for example, but I still buy their games used.

But as the years went on, I started to soften. 'Forgiveness' isn't the right term, but gt5's later updates did help fade some memories. Then GT6 was announced on ps3 vs ps4--a system I already have, so I figure maybe I'll give them another chance. I still haven't preordered (I'll wait until the week before in case there is a delay) but I'm pretty much a day-one buyer. I made my bed with ps3, it'd cost me too much to switch over (G25 setup), so I might as well see what's new.

Why buy it at all if you're so disappointed?

I find it hilarious how people complain so much on this forum, yet they still buy the game.
You see? This is excatly what I mean and said before, as to why GT will always stay popular. People don't want to move on, because they know they love the series even when whining or feeling disappointed with it. Talk about proving my point.

I really believe that, this is, exactly what Sony and PD want, like all great business people they conduct their affairs in a way that pretty much forces people to act in a certain way.. they have it all sussed out.. same with the carrot and minimalistic approaches (tactics) that they employ.

It's all instrumental to a certain degree and does not happen by chance.. in most cases it's more important than the product.
