Cadillac ATS

Me likey. Sure, the ATS coupe is a safer shape than the more dramatic CTS coupe that came before, but it lends itself very well to the V treatment. I could never get passed the enormous bumper of the CTS-V coupe, it was just cartoonishly exaggerated.

I feel the wheel and tire package is too small, and/or the car rides too high. Lower it a half inch or so and it would look much better.

Also, damn it GM. Instead of putting gigantic ducktail spoilers on your sports cars, robbing them of precious highway gas mileage, why don't you spend a little extra on some proper underbody aero? It ain't that difficult and it's much more efficient.

All you can hear is the V8 chase car. Loving the turbo V6 sports car from Cadillac though, I so want one.

I agree with the ride height, but not on the wheel size. It's refreshing to see a car run smaller wheels these days. Most performance cars are running rims with diameters that would've made the Dub crowd jealous in 2004.

The ATS-V Coupe is much more tasteful compared to the awkwardly proportioned CTS-V/CTS coupe.

Yeah. I sat in the ATS coupe yesterday. It is fantastic. Cadillac's best car imo. The CUE system and those tactile buttons are an absolutely atrocity, however. It has to be the least intuitive system I encountered at the auto show.

According to R&T, its a 450 BHP tune of the 3.6L twin-turbo V6 from the CTS V-Sport. Also, its the first to get the 6-speed manual with the 3.6T, but still has the optional 8-speed automatic. I'm willing to bet that, once again, the automatic will be the quicker option... But, kudos to Cadillac for sticking to the stick.
My gosh I have to have this...forget the other cars I've wanted (though the GT350 may win in the end...). This thing is amazing, it looks 3 times better imo to the CTS-V I loved. And it's portions and aero work look better than the Hotwheels set GM has done to the current Camaro performance cars. Oh I want this badly.

I'm interested to see the optional aero pack that increases downforce because I'm not sure I'm a fan of the rear spoiler, and I'll second the sentiment it needs to be lowered.

Does anybody know what 6spd manual it has? A tremec unit like the V8s or the Aisin as found in Camaros/Commodores?

It's a shame, really. I've used touch systems in Ford, Lincoln, Cadillac, Dodge. The touch screens aren't too bad but when the entire console is touch activated like Lincoln and Cadillac...just no. It's terrible. I think these companies shouldn't even bother with touch until it works as well as a smartphone.

It's not even the screen. I'm talking about the hard buttons. You have no idea whether the button press registers unless you take your eyes off the road. You have to push HARD on the tactile thingies. They don't move. I think they're supposed to vibrate or something but they never do unless you push it hard as a mug. Not exactly my idea of luxury.

On Linoln's system you don't have to press hard, you just have to hold your finger on it for like a half second. Either way it still sucks and has no tactility.

That's not how CUE is. It's no different than touching the screen on an iPhone.

You have to hold some kind of dumb button for volume. That is completely stupid. The cue interface is also dumb and confusing. Sonys xmb was intuitive. The original iPhone ui was intuitive. This is confusing as **** and takes way too long to operate for something that is accessed while driving.

All the tech Crap in most cars these days is absolutely terrible. I'd rather have knobs and buttons.

Touch screens never seem to be intuitive on cars, until they speed up the responsiveness and accuracy on it an I-Drive knob or similar is just infinitely better.

No, you don't. Slide your finger left or right to control volume. It's really not that hard to figure out.
