Can you find where you heard or read that? Thats a first for me.

A mode called grief apparently. Quick quote from Wiki here cause I'm on my iPhone.

Zombies

Treyarch has confirmed that the Zombies mode will return for Black Ops II with its own campaign. Its predecessors were Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops. This is the third time for the Zombies mode to appear in a Call of Duty game, and the first time to have its own campaign along with the main story. Treyarch has also confirmed that Zombies will implement the multiplayer engine, allowing for a deeper community experience along with new game modes. It has also been confirmed that the Zombies mode will support 8 player co-op, unlike Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops, which only supported 4 player online co-op. Treyarch announced in August 2012 that Nuketown would be remade as a zombie map for those buying Hardened or Care Package Edition of Black Ops 2. On September 26, 2012, the Zombies reveal trailer was released as well as three new game modes confirmed: Tranzit is a game mode that is a combination of multiple maps in one game and the way to travel around it is to ride on a bus, Survival is the original mode from Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops where you survive as long as possible, and finally the mode Grief which is 4 players vs 4 players vs zombies. Although a Zombies campaign is confirmed it is still unknown if Campaign is the Tranzit mode or if Campaign and Tranzit are completely different modes.

Thanks for the info. Can anyone in here that has the game confirm if the zombie mode is 4 or 8 players? I plan to rent it over the weekend but everything I heard seems to show 4 players, even the back of the box.

Well I'm assuming it'd only be 4 on a single system. But 8 online.

There's a new game mode called Grief where it's 4v4. The basis is that you cannot directly shoot the other team, but you must try to manipulate the zombies to attack them. So it's essentially last team standing. You can't revive the other team. You could use it to do an 8-player co-op, although the maps are pretty small (about the size of Verrückt).

If one guy's training a bunch of zombies, you could screw up the train and get him trapped. I've done it to my friends so many times accidentally in BO1, so I'm sure it won't be too hard when you're trying to do it deliberately

I'm having bad server problems now, out of 5 TDMs I've started in the past 20 minutes i've been disconnected from 3 :nervous:
Hopefully it's just the amount of people online on the day of release.

Also where is this Grief game mode you speak of? I can't find it.

This, this, this, this, this, this, this!

I've downed so many friends in zombies I've lost count. I can't wait to play it. I was so p off when I walked in to no Black Ops :(

First day for pretty much any game is rough online. By the weekend hopefully the servers will be worked out. Happens with every new big game like BF, Halo, or COD.

I just had a good laugh at a lot of PC copies containing Mass Effects II on the second disc.

How can you screw up this badly?

It would almost an understandable (as far as mixups go) if they were published by the same company, but I can't imagine how that happened. At least PC users can just use their key to download the game from Steam.

Looking for some players to play in the morning from 8am PST to 12pm for multiplayer, not zombies. Usually play TDM, since I got bumped to 2nd shift I can't play with my teammates during the working week. Add me @ Shigegaki on PSN!

Players with mics preferred but not needed. Just makes things a lot easier :)

Amazon Amazon Amazon  32 out of the current 52 reviews are 1 and 2 stars on the XBOX simply because Amazon have failed yet again to deliver the game on release date. Pretty damn poor for one of, if not the biggest online retailers. Poor form.

Both Amazon and Play screwed me over. Not happy. Got home yesterday and haven't got a dispatch email from Play so I went on the website and it said cancelled. No explanation anywhere. Had no email, not in junk or anything. So I thought screw them and order from Amazon, with express next day delivery. Got a dispatch email about 30 minutes later. My post doesn't come till like 4pm. YET STILL NOT HERE!! Not acceptable. I don't know who else I can even buy from that are online. Ill probably give play another chance cause its the first time they've messed me about, including buying WWE 13 either last Friday or the one before. Pre-Order and I got it day of release.

Has anyone else ran into drop shooters and jumpers like never before? I've seen some people jumping and shooting and doing the prone shots in other COD games but it is out of control on this one. It may just ruin the game for me. I haver no idea why they would make it so you can shoot while falling to the ground or when jumping. Drives me crazy.

There's one challenge where you have to get a Relentless medal (10 kill streak) with no perks or weapons selected. I made it to 6 before dying

Seems as though this was overlooked, so I will ask again, where is it?

When you go to Zombies, select Green Run. From there you have three choices: Bus Depot, Farm and Town. If you select Bus Depot, there's TranZit (the main mode) and Survival. If you pick Farm or Town, there's Grief and Survival.

Ahhhh okay, cheers.

I actually kinda like this game. Zombies is cool, multiplayer is kinda fun but I think the future setting is pretty stupid. Story seems boring to.

Most of the reviews that I have seen actually praise the game for having a story to tell. Black Ops had one, but the Modern Warfare games treated the story as a loose framing device for the action.

I didn't get to far into it do I could be wrong but so far it's just... Bleh. And what the hell's with the very beginning? Why do they start it by showing a guy burning to death inside a vehicle? I typically don't find things like that to bad but that made me cringe...

Really liking the Tactician wildcard. I used it while playing League Play Hardpoint to have both a Trophy and a Black Hat set up. Really good because you have the Trophy for defensive and the Black Hat to take down enemy equipment and UAVs. Scavenger works wonders as well because it replenishes them as well (yes, Scavenger replenishes ALL lethals and tacticals :D:tup:)

Yeah, I saw that on YouTube. Totally unnecessary; it was violent for the sake of being violent.

So far as I've completed it the story is better than the majority of COD games, so still a way behind a good film, but not too bad overall.

In regard to the violence, well yes it is extreme (but again no more so than many 18/M rated films) and you do get the option to turn off the graphic content at the start of the game.

I know it's just a way to sneak in extra violence, but it shows early on that you can fail an objective and still carry. I've been playing on Veteran which means I have to play more cautiously and slowly than playing on Recruit. So if I were to play the campaign again on Recruit, I would have succeeded a few more times.

And also, Veteran is surprisingly easy. There are times when I've been able to survive after ramboing out into an open area where doing the same thing in Black Ops or MW3 would have gotten me killed.

That's good. I was so bad at BO1 campaign. Maybe I'll platinum this one.
