I just spent too many games to count ruining the fun of two idiot boosters. It all started when I asked a dude to try not to suck as he went 1-13 the previous match. I don't know if his booster buddy was with him at the time or not, but he was after that. I'd follow them around the map, not caring about my score at all. There was one game I lost them and went back to trying to do good and they got a Nuke. Then one game they both ended up on my team and all they did was follow me around giving away my position and getting me killed by Predators and other crap. Lets just say I didn't win many games, but my stats were still ok 90% of the time. It was totally worth it to burst their bubble though.

Oh, I know it's possible to have a legit bad game and go 1-something, but I always follow the scoreboard to see who's doing what, especially when the scores get kinda lopsided. I want to know who it was that drug the team down because I hate losing big. I just happened to run into their little boost spot during the flow of the game which is how I found out, that's when I made it my mission to stop them.

I actually had very few encounters with boosters in my MW2 playing time, probably a good thing. Rarely there was a nuke very early in the game and I just back out of those lobbies.
It is pretty funny gunning down one with a 10 prestige badge 4 consecutive times and hearing someone yelling crazy languages through the mic.

I just don't understand what boosters want to achieve, there's no greater pleasure in earning every badge or title yourself.

I played Black Ops today out of boredom, and remembered why I put it away the second or third day it was out. God, let's just say it sucked. Haven't gotten on MW2 in a few days but I'm sure excited to now after that..

How so?

I don't understand the love for MW2. You have to sit around and wait for a ****** mach maker instead of joining a server you know and love... Then you get into a group with a bunch of people screaming "Rape" "Rage Quit" "QQ" which you can avoid on a good server. You get non stop noob tubing spam.. The kill streak system is done by a 11 year old who wants to sit in a corner and win. Heartbeat sensors? Lol. Not to mention the most annoying bit, the guns behave like airsoft guns. Spray and have minimal recoil if any. The game is soo heavily flawed.

Black Ops at least fixed a lot of those problems and you can get into a decent server and not deal with people with social disorders.

I turn voice chat off, first of all, I totally agree with the vast immaturity level on MW2. But I just like the maps more than Black Ops, I know them better and find them more open and fast paced, which is what I like. I just guess its an opinion thing..

Yes it does have dedicated servers on PC. And I would agree with your first point. I've played so many countless hours of both the original UT and CS and there later counter points and those are defiantly the grand daddies when it comes to superb online gaming.

Your second point is kind of moot. Graphics aren't really a big deal, and its not like Black Ops looks bad. Honestly, on my PC Black Ops looks about the same as MW2, with only MW2 gun models being a bit nicer. Black Ops was rushed IMO. I don't think any of the maps for the last few CoD games are any good at all. I take that back, I don't think any of the maps on ANY modern FPS (Last 3-4 years) all that good.

Every game is still light years behind CS and its million versions of everything.

If you don't understand, you don't understand. You typed up things that are so obviously wrong with the game, but you "don't understand" what are so attracting to the player-base of MW2. Not to get on your case, and I can appreciate that your FPS gaming taste is a galaxy away from what MW2 offers. That is awesome. I just think the question is a pointless one, as you are not going to agree with any opinion that we can offer, and some features that sells the game, you are already shooting them down in your own post.

I think it's great that there are games for advanced players, or players with different taste. I also think it's great that they have games that average players & noobs can pick up & play, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Well, except for the heartbeat sensors, noob tubes, commando, etc., etc.

I should have had my 3rd Nuke today, but my Harrier got shot down too fast. It was on Wasteland and I was clearing out people in those trenches when I got sort of trapped with people coming around the hedges and coming out of the bunker. I hit 11 or 12 before I could get to a safe place to call in my support. I ended up with 23 after all that, got 24 quickly after and then 25 ended up being the last kill. If I could have only got 1 kill with the Harrier gun I'd have been solid. At least #25 was a grenade chuck over the hedge row at some dots on the radar.

I almost got that elusive Chopper Gunner again tonight (which seems really wimpy compared to you guys ). I was on Salvage, had 8 in a row going, with my Harrier in the air, and got killed by air support in a building sort of near a doorway. It was a really dumb move on my part, and the Harrier would have gotten me to 11. I was kicking myself. I did score an MVP at 17-6 (game didn't reach score limit), it was a good game for my standards 👍.

Were you there one night, when I was crying & ranting about how I can't kill anybody with my chopper gunner? That evening, after my pitiful previous record with the CGs, I decided to equip the kill streak reward, make it my challenge for the night. Luckily, I got few CGs fairly easily, but it kept topping out at 3 or so? On one wide open map, I think it was Afghan, if I remember correctly, I got one kill right off the bat, then got shot down.

Yeah, I don't want to hear you whine about chopper gunners. They suck.

Hahaha its more of a pride thing. When I first got the game I would be ecstatic when I went over even for a match, then a Predator was awesome, then a Harrier, and then an AC130. I changed it to Chopper Gunner awhile ago, I don't even remember why.. I think I will change it back. The highest killstreak I ever got with a Nuke equipped was 21. I'm more of a run 'n gun type player.

Some guys are really good with CGs(I don't even know how to control it tbh), but for one, it will leave you vulnerable. Also, with the harrier & pave low, you can continue racking up kills while your air support are hard at work. Between me, harrier & pave low, I can easily get double kills, and it's not rare to see triple kill, sometimes bunch of them in a single run. Great once in awhile, I get a quadruple kill. Not bad, outside using launchers or explosives!

I remember my first non-air support multi kill. Quintuple RPG shot at Bailout (no Danger Close by the way). I usually use one of the 11 killstreaks because I doubt I will ever have the chops to get a Nuke, and if I do dedicate myself to trying, I see a lot of controller smashing in my future .

Surprisingly, all 3 of my controllers have survived 2 and a half years of me owning them. Granted, I am very gentle and can only remember one temper flare, which was more of an...accentuated drop, really, than a smash. And yes, the RPG is very good, but I've swapped it out for the SPAS lately, I love the one shot kills 👍.

For the longest time, I couldn't quite figure out the SPAS. I mean I did OK, but only recently, for the first time(since CoD4 times), I was able to start dropping people from really extended distance. Real shotgun has decent range, really, so I guess it's only fair.

Yesterday. Well, Sunday. It was in the post where I asked if you beaches were going to be on. You responded to it lol, you said you had to work. I swear there are more and more idiots on lately. Not noob class idiots, I mean honest to god how did you ever get to the level you're at idiots. It's been ownage left and right. I could have had what should have been Nuke #4 today but my Harrier ended up having to compete for kills with another one, then someone called in a chopper before I could get to my Gunner and that ran out the clock. Got stuck on 17 kills because all I did was keep hitting the right button for the last minute.

And again I'm getting so tired of these stupid run and gun "snipers" everywhere. Most of them are down right horrible. One dude had to miss me 4 times from like 10-15 feet away. They think they're so awesome and special but their scores are almost always close to 1:1 or way less in the case of the real bad ones. Plus, I need to rant about the sack of garbage I ran up against earlier. All he did was find somewhere to camp with his Claymores and ACR + HBS. On Invasion he stayed in the large 2 story building on the side with all the Hummers, and on Highrise he sat in the little office at the top of the steps on the side you can get to the roof. Just watching his HBS for someone to come up the steps. He's the sort of person I wouldn't hesitate to kick in the face. Rant over.

Speaking of frustration with killstreaks, I've had about 8 AC130s since I went on first prestige , only 10 kills. I just can't get it right, or get them on maps where there is so much cover. I like the CG, but of course the shooting down is a big issue.

I'm thinking about just totally dropping the 11 killstreak and only going Predator-Harrier-Pave Low. It would be a lot more manageable for me, obviously .

The trouble with Chopper Gunner is that if you're in a game where the enemy are mostly using Cold-Blooded you can end up just sat there waiting for targets to appear on your screen.

I never seem to have that problem with the Chopper Gunner, I've got to average 7 or 8 kills with it. I don't seem to have the problem with CB users either. In fact, there's usually 2 or fewer in every game I'm in, they all use Stopping Power...which is a useless perk in my mind. Those couple extra kills are going to be negated by air support and UAVs, and me running around with CB not worried about either. Those 15-16-18-20 kills are nice and all, but not when you have 2 fewer deaths.

God if I weren't so crap at actually shooting people.

This really has shown me how certain elements of the game can assist you.

I always use the same class, with some small differences... but essentially it's a Barrett, with silencer, PP2000 with extended mags, Stopping power pro I think, Ninja pro definitely, oh and definitely sleight of hand pro, with a semtex, 2 flashes and final stand.

I wear absolutely 🤬 amazing headphones (imo) that give me directional sound, so I know exactly where you are sneaking up from, and I like to camp.

Yes I could use a claymore, yes I could have an assault rifle class..... yes I should use the intervention... blah blah blah, but gimme a break, I had to ween myself off of the M21 EBR ffs.

Thing is, when I was silent, people wouldn't know I was there.... when I had a ghillie suit on, I only looked ridiculous in Terminal and such maps....

I have found places on maps where I can lie, and if I lie still, people will step over me to carry on their merry way, only to receive my silenced bullet in their back, but when I am dressed in bright blue and have a red headscarf on, they manage to work out that I am not a hillock/lump of wood/terrain and I get shot.

I cannot reload as fast.
I cannot switch to the scope as fast.
I am hampered.
It shows.

With all the perx in place and all the attributes I am used to having on my character, I have been known to kill 18 other people, and not even die once in a round.
At the minute, I am going to kill 3 people, and then die eleven times.....
I know this as I have proved it today. A lot.

I want my ghillie's back.....

I prefer the Harrier for two reasons: the bombing run can be very helpful in racking up those extra kills, especially if you know where the other team is; and the fact that it can take out enemy helicopters. There have been quite a few times I call it in real quick just to get rid of enemy air support. Also, I'm not sure you can have two helis up at once so that's another plus for the Harrier.

That's enough reason for me 👍. So I now have it set at 5-7-9, I think I may get it tonight. I was in an absolutely horrid room earlier, the other team was five noob tubers and a Riot Shield guy. It was terrible. I still came in first on the team, but I got killed by a lot of random Semtex and lucky tube shots.

Why does everybody use the intervention? I'm using the Barrett and when I tried switching, it didn't right.
