I got "the harder they fall" achievement earlier with a single grenade.

Start of the domination match, I can only presume the entire team counted as the top player as nobody had scored. It was actually 6 kills, however you only need 5 for the achievement.

EDIT: It was on Rundown with a ProPipe going from the corrugated metal fence through the gap between the buildings towards point A, you always get a few kills there but never, ever have I seen 6 in 1.

I think I get a lot of rental DVDs after Daniel and leowan. I open the case/sleeve, take a look at the disc and I'm like "WTF".
This image so describe how I feel with my RPD with grip & FMJ. Though way I spray & pray, Azuremen would probably claim that my eyes shut as I squeeze the trigger.

I just dropped my target + the houses & cars behind it!

Does anyone else get frustrated when they get put in the same lobby that they just rage quitted from?

Ya, and I rage quit that game a lot. That's why I haven't played since the day before black ops.

Some nice matches tonight, but I wish you stuck around Dave. Random teams can suck, and that was the case my first couple games with Vaus & leowan.

I even had one of those "here comes the Predator, follow the leader!" guys. Seriously, I haven't had one of those idiots follow me in a very long time!

You guys played? I guess I stayed out too long. Darn. Wish I could have joined you guys.

We. Could. Have. Used you. It went OK after that couple of games, but man, one or two more help I think could have swung some of those losses around!

I'm still going for ACR headshots, so as I equipped the ACOG ACR, I declared that I needed 388 more headshots. Game ended. I was 23-0. Still 388 more headshots. Oops.

I need to get serious, I'm having a little too much fun with the Javelin  I'll take that off and put something more tactical up.

I mean, liking it is my opinion, I enjoy it along with a lot of my friends and it was a big part of growing up for me.

From Javelin to Harry Potter. You guys are better than TV. What could be next.

P.S. I like Ben Folds 5(or whatever).

Hahaha :). I'm gonna change it to something football related soon, less than a month until East Carolina's first game :D. 30 days to be exact 👍.

And no idea what you're talking about there, bud .

I know. The conversation was so random, I had to throw mine in.

 It's random day, here on the MW2 thread.

But really, I'm debating on trying to learn the burst guns instead of the normal SCAR/ACR.

You should try them all. I'm really picky, but as my friends recommended this & that, most of the time, I either learn to appreciate their recommendations, or flat out fell in love with them.

Good point. The M16 I'm having real trouble with, I like the FAMAS better.

It's just the iron sights, the huge circle is a tad distracting. I'll try an RDS tomorrow. I've already tried all the LMGs and SMGs and have my favorites, and can work with all sniper rifles if needed.

I had 50+ kill match with it, but it was with ACOG. Most kills I've ever had in a TDM.

Edit: Great. I think I'm gonna have to play before I go to bed. I'm all motivated.

50!? God knows, I thought 40 was good when I did it, that's awesome! I think I'll always be a spray 'n pray type of guy though .

50+, but can't remember how many, exactly. My aim sucks, so I do tend to spray & pray. I miss the RPD so much, but all my classes are ACR right now, except for one Danger Close class.

Yeah, I was messing around with different random things after I ditched the Javelin class, and tried the RPD with a Thermal Scope. Ugh, it was so ugly it was funny . But I can see the Thermal being good for an M16/FAMAS/FAL type gun. I wish we could put sniper scopes on normal guns sometimes, just for kicks :).

Since I know everyone here by now, I guess its time for me to properly introduce myself. My name is Collin, not Cam as some may think ;). And I'm sure gonna miss playing with you guys every night when school starts back up.

You have not played with me yet. Though, I have been mostly AWOL lately when it comes to MW2 and PS3 gaming in general. a6, Forza, Azure, and Midship have played quite a bit with me.

Speaking of MW2, I have played a game here and there the last few weeks and it has made me want to play the game some more, especially if it would be with some GTPers.

It's pretty amazing how well we do together considering there is ZERO communication at all. We all bring something specific to the table. I am a flanker and a perimeter player, I rarely venture into the middle of a map unless I have no choice. I work the outside, getting behind the other team for easy kills except on my sniper maps where I just park my ass in one or two spots. Plus I'm a mini-map whore. I know exactly what's going on 90% of the time. If I see a triangle disappear I know where to expect people to come from, or when I see the skull on the game screen I know to be ready.

When we play as a group, I think I tend to play a bit different than when I play by myself and I end up being more a decoy and bullet magnet. That is not necessarily a bad thing either because I help the team locate opposing players. Even being a decoy/bullet magnet, I know better than to continue dying and feeding the other team deaths.

I looked at my statistics earlier and the categories I had the most of. No deaths from behind and least deaths are very near the top of the list. If there is one thing I understand, then it is that kills are important, but limiting my deaths is more beneficial to my team than seeking out big kill numbers and dying excessively in the process.

I think the best quality we have as a group is we play within our limits and do not try to force the issue going against the other team. Each of us is disciplined enough to control encounters and force advantageous engagements.

And while you run the outside of Wasteland, I do work in the middle :D. It's so much fun owning people who can't get in and I just blow them away, my best map by far. That's where me, you and leo went like 58-10 that one game 👍.

I mostly hug the outside of the map on Wasteland also. The FN FAL is typical my choice weapon on Wasteland. Pair the FAL with a Suppressor and Holographic Sight and the opposing team will have no clue where they are being picked off from while trying to run into the central bunker.

Like Icarus mentioned earlier, you want to be aware of enemy movement on the mini/UAV map. Keep your back to walls, or edge of the map. That will minimize getting shot in the back.
If you suck, IMO, you must equip the silencers. Guns without silencers might as well be bullet magnets. You become a moving bullseye.
Drop the M4, use SCAR. If the fire rate is too slow, go for ACR. Keep the stopping power, drop the commando for Ninja Pro. Must be Pro, as it will help tremendously by silencing your footsteps.
It would also be good idea to look over the kill streak rewards. They can be a huge part of your success, or possibly the other way around.

One thing about MW2, they put in TONS of help to assist the noobie players. Many loves or hates this game for that reason alone. I'm not particularly good at games, and I was 1.50-ish k/d player in CoD4. In MW2, my k/d is over 2.5, while I have hundreds of "MVP" accolades(most kills, minimum deaths). I'm still above average at best, skill-wise. But it's the map design, perks & kill streak rewards Infinity Ward saturated the game with that helps me put up some numbers, and certainly not because I've gotten really good at FPS, since the CoD4 days.

I think the biggest thing is to not be a "hero". A game of 10-2 is just as good as a game of 25-20. While a 25-20 may have been awesome, those 20 deaths help the opposing team out much more than two deaths. Limiting deaths is the name of the game and sometimes other players will have to pick up the slack in kills for a player not getting as many kills.

And for the record a6 if you must know, you may call me Dave. Just don't ever go all HAL 9000 on me or I'll beat you. Also, holy cow I typed a lot.

Hello Dave! 👍

TL;DR- Finding what works takes time, limiting your blip on the radar is a big help, be adaptable to what's going on in the match.

A suppressor is my go to attachment when I am having issues. 👍

It's just the iron sights, the huge circle is a tad distracting. I'll try an RDS tomorrow.

When it comes to iron sights, the FAMAS has better iron sights than the M16A4. I like both weapons quite a bit and have no real preference between the two. Though, since I find Suppressors to be lacking on burst weapons, I have come to prefer the M16A4 ever so slightly since sight attachments are quite useful.
