Happy Birthday Camel
Good stuff last night. Hey,i just wanted to mention to those that were there and listen. I figured out the FOV issue I was having after trying (improve) to change it. I was using the 'speed sensitivity' feature all this time, but did not realize how it messed up my camera FOV setting. Once I turned speed sensitivity OFF, I was able to get a better view out the front window. And boy howdy, did it ever make a difference. Best lap times for me ever. And way more actuate for hitting my marks on the track.
Yeah I've been trying to explain this to everyone when we're online.
You can actually try and get the view to look right over time with the Field of View Speed Sensitivity on bud. However, in order to get it right you're also going to need to input settings for the Movement tab settings as well as the settings underneath Field of View Speed Sensitivity.
I'm happy to know that you found this issue but, I would'nt completely give up on that setting until you are able to see it's full capabilities.
The settings which are just below the FOV Speed Sensitivity On/Off - all correspond to that one FOV Speed Sensitivity option.. Meaning, if FOV Speed Sensitivity is set to Off then then the underlying options beneath it are automatically greyed out.
When you have time, experiment with those underlying options -
Minimum Speed Sensitivity
Maximum Speed Sensitivity
Minimum Speed Sensitive Speed
Maximum Speed Sensitive Speed
You're also going to need to adjust a few settings in the Movement tab, especially
G-Force effect.
Using these other settings in conjunction with Field of View Speed Sensitivity on, is the only way to get it to work properly.. Come to think of it, big kudos to you as I can't believe you were driving like this the whole time
.
I can get into more detail on the variables but it's far easier to talk about it when we're on buddy.
yeah i need to figure out my fov also its like its different everytime i get in the car especially when i change from cockpit to helmet view the bugs in this game are starting to agrivate me pretty bad
Like Camel said, I don't think it's a glitch thing.. Guess, you were'nt crazy about the settings I gave you
?
Also, I just wanted to say that I don't always use Field of View Speed Sensitivity on much myself, even if I feel like the settings are properly set.
I feel like it hogs up the system more, especially when we have alot in the room. I could be wrong about this but it does make sense as you gotta think all that extra motion - visual stuff is going to strain the video card/memory etc.
