the allure is they have the best grip
Where's the fun in not getting a little slide on exit once in a while?
In all honesty, I've generally started limiting myself to RHs at the max (and only on actual racing cars, for street cars I use sports), though I used to use RSs on nearly EVERY car for a very long time (as well as nearly all the aids) - now that I think about it, that might be the allure. They're not very fun for proper no-aids racing, but they're arguably very good for people who are completely new to the sim racing genre (as I was at the time when I got GT5) since they let you learn all the basics of proper racing lines and braking points etc. without the 'OH BY THE WAY IF YOU DO THIS EVEN SLIGHTLY WRONG YOUR CAR WILL SPIN OUT AND YOU'LL NEVER GET ON THE TRACK AGAIN' panic that some people get when they first start.
