Canadian GT Sport Contest Announced: Win Long Beach GP Tickets and Porsche Gear

Want to train together?
After dropping my DR back down into B trying to race the Cayman in the daily (it's wildly underpowered) I started a lobby with the race regulations from the event and was randomly joined by 2 other drivers that have qualified also. The three of us had a race and practiced laps. Current FL was 1:30.1x, but 1:29.x should be easy and maybe 1:28.x looks possible. ATM im running low 1:32s :( I need to get used to driving without CSA now.

After the one-make FIA I will make another lobby tomorrow. Add me on PSN if you're looking for it, im vvise, same as username here.

So... he’s a pad user?? That fast?
Are my inputs that sporadic? This isn't the first time I've heard of people thinking I'm a pad user. I've been on a wheel since before I made the Turismo-lester account (7-8 years) and would be just as screwed as anyone if they make us use ds4 :P Good luck to all the entrants! Remember to enjoy yourself during this competition. These don't come along often and you just may find that the memories and experience are better than the prizes in the long run. See you on the track! -Mark

Oh my god! He quoted me!
I’m kidding... good luck to us all!
May the aliens crash their spaceships, and we humans win this battle!

If you're still running the lobby at 9:30pm EST tonight I'll join.

Ummmmm I️ think before BOP update 28.4 in this car was the good time for FIA, but since it’s lighter. Wouldn’t be surprised to see 27

OMG I'm so far off. I thought I was on decent pace until I saw this. No clue where the time is either :(.

If you're referring to Brands Hatch GP, the time is in those damn dog leg corners, these freaks take those corners so fast I swear.

Yeah I was feeling like I was pushing it hard. I guess I'll have to learn that stupid GT slide thing to get some more time.

We had a few mock races early on in the lobby and then again late at night. They were pretty fun! The pace drops about 2 seconds a lap. Passing is very difficult. Any mistake is basically unforgivable because every driver is so quick there's almost no time to gain. Depending on where you go off track it can cost like 10-20s in a bad spin.

If you can run consistent 1:30s with no errors I think that will be competitive for Brands. Thanks for all the drivers that showed up yesterday it was really fun. I'm not at that point yet but I've shifted my expectations to just have some fun.

Next week I'll think I'll switch to practicing the ring.

PS. Does anyone have any tips for the final corner on brands? I seem to loose like 3-4 tenths going through it every time compared to you guys.

Practice, it's easily the trickiest section of track imo as it's pretty easy to overshoot and end up in the sand, and if you don't get it right you lose a solid .5 seconds.
