Canadian GT Sport Contest Announced: Win Long Beach GP Tickets and Porsche Gear

All the heats are going to be ridiculously competitive.
Hell, 2 months ago there were maybe 1-2 Canadians in the top 10 times, this competition has brought back a lot - because now there are usually 3-4 Canadians in top 10's now.

I see more Canadians at the front of FIA races now also, everyone is just getting more practiced and finely tuned now because of this tournament

Just letting everyone know for the ones that qualified or going to qualify for the Race of Champions. Tuning is Prohibited.

Where does it say that tuning is prohibited in the rules? (i.e. modification of transmission, suspension settings, etc.)

Turns out i submitted after midnight (12:03) so it didn't count, but yeah I'm happy with my heat so far so I dont need to rock the boat lol

Good... because your better time would've put me in the death heat

Just got a response from Cineplex regarding tuning:

"Unfortunately at the time that the rules were published “Tuning” had not been added as an option for custom races, so it was not addressed within the rules. I can confirm that, in keeping with the spirit of the larger FIA circuit, tuning will not be permitted in any of the latter stages."

I wish Tokyo Drivers the best of luck. I would definitely try to help you with replays, but I'm really bad at that track! See you guys in the HEATS!

I emailed them.

Time to drive the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and grind the Gr.4 daily races. Need to get comfortable driving that car in competition settings.

EDIT: no Gr.4 race today, figures. lol.

Really? I’ve always loved the way it’s handled and done well in the one-make daily/FIA races with it, it’s just too slow against other cars.

The 911 on the other hand....(shudders)

The 911 is the best car in the game , that GT4 is just trash tho. I’ve used it for the last 3 FIA seasons and it’s my handicap

I feel the same way. I love the Cayman, I just recognize it's completely outclassed with PD's current BoP for it.

911 has the best stock gearbox setup for gr.3's, and it's stock tunings are above average.
As soon as you tune the cars the 911 is nothing special.

It's a great car, but unfortunately you have a sub-par livery on it that belongs on a volkswagen!

Ran some preliminary laps around Tokyo East, 2:00.7 - definitely room to improve, this track is going to be all about who can carry the most speed through that middle section/get a good exit out of turn 2.

I haven't logged in the past few days... does anyone know roughly what the top ten times look like?
