Canadian GT Sport Contest Announced: Win Long Beach GP Tickets and Porsche Gear

I am going to try something different tonight... I read that camera position has some affect on the rotation of the car. I use bumper cam, however it seems using cockpit or roof view rotates the car more from the center as apposed to the front. Has anyone experienced this, can it really make that much of a difference?

I am 3 - 4/10s off on most sector times but my cornering speed is consistent with faster drivers like yourself Nando. This is all I have left to try!

I don’t think it has an effect on physics. It’s easier to notice rotation and car placement.

I find it easier to handle the car in hood cam, I race in bumper for the rear view though.
I think qualifying is closed for Maggiorre anyways, last event opens tomorrow?

I am going to give it a shot tonight... I am so close on this one I know that one little tweak will give me that 1:55:xxx

Well even if its closed, I've put enough time in that I want to master it!

Last week I got an email saying I was thru, but then 20 mins later they sent me another saying "oh man sorry we didn't see these other 2 times, you're actually 12" and that freaking sucked! So I'm glad to hear others are getting thru too!

omg that's brutal. now i'm scared, no doubt im near the back of the current top 10, there are like 4 people in this thread with faster times than me lol.

I got an email, I made it! with my 1:56.2!

1:56.200 exactly? I'm curious since I'm right around there too...

Really frustrating that I couldn't put together a better lap. I saw a handful of 32.9xx S1s, and my best S2 was 1:01.226. That put me about .300 up on my ghost, but the banked hairpin was such a crapshoot that it'd always botch my better runs.

1:56.229, 1:01.3x split at S2. My hairpin was pretty good, my last 2-3 corners are not good.

It doesn't. But since it's a different view with a different camera position and a different field of view it might make it easier for you to get a feeling for how the car is moving, so for that reason it could be worth a try.

Don't worry, we'll qualify on Tokyo together!

I use hood cam consistently across every sim racing title. It just gives you a better view of the apex on turn in, you can see farther out from a better perspective where you can get back on the throttle. Also, specific to GT Sport... I can see in front of me better when I'm blocked by my own ghost lol
