Thanks all. What I really like about that car is the entire rear difuser/taillight treatment. In real life it would look so busy, but in here it looks awesome.

I love this one

Ah. That would make sense. I dig it; Good job on this one, Cano. It's less erratic than the toons you keep reposting and imo would make a REALLY nice avatar or icon. 👍

Well, cars like that are way easier to toon because you have several elements with which to work, they have protuberancies everywhere, stuff pokes out of every inch of the car, the wheels /tires are separate from the car, etc. They are way better for a cartoon than a fully organic design such as modern cars that have a lot more flow to them.

I haven't done any proper (or finished ) pics for a while... i still do quite a lot of little scribbles though now and again. Anyway, thought i'd post this tiny front on view of a car i did yesterday. It's called the "Honda Velude", it's a Honda coupe aimed at the American market, it's equipped with a V8 (Honda version), and would go heads up with the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger.

Obrigado 👍 (learn't a new word ), and yeah you're right, the logo could be smaller, have to try that.

[EDIT]

@ AOS & Cano.
I borrowed a book from the library the other day called "Sentury II" by Syd Mead (guy who did the Blade runner cars, you're probably familiar with him already), you should check it out if haven't seen it already, there's only a few of his futuristic car drawings in there, but i think his graphical style is Awesome!

De nada. I mean, i understand what you did there, it is made with the hood lines, but that line can still be there, yet, the logo smaller.

I like the small shadows that you have made, looks cool. lol

Dejen de hablar en español ustedes dos!

And yes, I am pretty familiar with Syd Mead, have always been a fan of his futiristic style. awesome stuff.

I also do like your mean Honda. No smaller logo, it's cool the way it is, in your freaking face. Also, V8 with no torque and 13,000 rpm redline.

NO! Pero, no era español, era portugués.

Ok, now we stop with the different languages.

200-250 cubic inch V8. Like 4.0-4.4 liters

Do a low compression. DOHC heads and valve train. Maybe some fancy new variable valves.

Twin turbo. Backed by a 7 speed h pattern trans. With optional 7 speed sequential.

IRS on the rear but make a base model with a live axle. This will allow drag racer to remove the IRS from the high end fast model and replace it with a straight axle for drags.

The IRS set up would be something dreams are made of. Maybe do a expo camber gain. Something different that works well.

It needs to have the engine shoved clear under the dash. Maybe go goofy and like a Vette with a torque tube and trans in rear for wt dist. Must haul four people. Two in back don't need comfort. LoL rear trans kills my straight axle idea. :(

Ok I'm don't dreaming about a 700 HP small cube V8 balanced inside a wicked chassis.

Cheers Cano & OwensRacing 👍, i like both suggestions (engine). In my imaginary world Honda would make it so.. infact, they'd be about 4 engine/trans/geometry options... along with different badge size options.

Just playing with a little idea for a Mustang, excuse the crappy doodle style, just a quick throw up on PS:

I suppose the influence is from a Ford Explorer, and the old SVT Cobra.

Thanks DarkAvenger. 👍

Super odd. Want to see the rest.

No you don't
That's all there is... as with the majority of my work it's just a WIP, basically inspired from the discussions in the 2014/2015 Mustang thread, as usual iv'e been posting nonsensical stuff in said thread, about how what i think would make a good Mustang design... I'm all for the retro approach, but man, i really get the impression people dislike retro styling... so i decided to play around with a design that's maybe a little bit different.
As usual, there's no real purpose of me doing this, just thought i'd give myself a little test.

Cool Ford Cano (that's assuming it's a Ford... you know me and American cars ). As usual, love the illustrative/toon style. 👍

Small rough draft update of the odd looking Mustang, it needs plenty refining (getting a bit rusty with drawing directly onto Wacom tab, without using pencil/pen sketch first). I'll add that 'Mach Forty' show-car (GTP news section) along with mid 90's Mustang to the list of inspiration.

Cheers DarkAvenger 👍. To be honest, i have no real idea of light control, it's just guess work, as iv'e said before, i actually think you have a better understanding of it than i do.
