No i am not allowed to drive it, my dad had a car before he could drive it my mom did as well, at the moment i dont have the pink slip but its 100% paid off, as my mother drove it before the engine seized and needed fixed at the time she could not afford to fix it and has a new car, so all i have to do to get the pink slip is to prove that i will follow through with the rebuild, and i CANT get a job where i live there are no jobs hiring 14 year olds, currently im earning money via grade cards, been looking for a job for over a year, just no one hiring my parents agreed that if i keep my grades up when im 15.5-18 i may sign up with their insurance, and they will cover tires as well as emergency fixes to suspension, body, frame, ect.

Seized? Due to what? I wouldn't really recommend a rebuild then.

So I'd say go for the keyboard first.

My dad and myself are both assuming the bearings possibility of a fix as low as 100 dollars (if i remember right, I'm confirming that now). but wanna be safe if more badness is found haha

If you knew how long we worked to get that thing efficient, and fast you would believe it, at least 200 hours of actual work(assembly, testing, diagnosing, disassembly, and repeat) the amount of time on the chrono was ridiculous, and that was just for the engine, even more for the transmission, we ordered 5 or 6 transmissions and still have 5 just laying around, and the focus is a much shorter car, which means less area to "smooth" the air, theres a larger air cavity behind the focus than the vette

You must be loaded. That many Transmissions, equipment to do the work, and all the extra parts and what not, you're either hopelessly lying your face off, or have more money than sense.

A while back we were, well off, before we tried to sell our house during the bad economy an that basically screwed us, we inherited a warehouse that my grandpa used for cars that HIS dad had bought when he was loaded from owning an electric company, he used to own a lot of the buildings in my town but now that my mom divorced my dad, (she carried all the dept) my dad is starting to get into a better position, my mom worked at eaton with 5-6 people under her so she was a big shot there and my dad is an engineer

The article of the drag race is on the previous link for corvette pictures) That HIS dad had bought when he was loaded from owning an electric company, he used to own a lot of the buildings in my town but now that my mom divorced my dad, (she carried all the dept) my dad is starting to get into a better position, my mom worked at eaton with 5-6 people under her so she was a big shot there and my dad is an engineer[/QUOTE]

Oh and a few fork lifts but when the house hit us hard from trying to sell it we sold almost all of the stuff in the warehouse

There is no way a Vette will go that fast on street tires. Ever.

Yes i realized this, talk about feeling dumb, but no it was just a 1966 corvette that my grandpa gave to Mr. Dan Brown and they just beef'd it up haha like i meant go read the article in my link its a whole story of how it got to be a 9 second car

Like I said, read the article in the link its clearly stated, and no one would believe me if I copy and pasted the words in the article... I'm sorry but you have to have the incentive to click on the link and read the scanned pictures of the magazine.

I'm still not convinced it runs a 9 second 1/4 on street tires. Maybe 10s on slicks if you are lucky

You don't have to believe it, it's up to you whether or not you choose to believe it, I read the actual magazine so I know for a fact that it happened.

Not lying or being biased etc

I agree with you on that. BUT, I wasn't there nor was anyone I know who is still alive, so I cannot say definitively whether or not it was exactly 9.99 second car.

Either way, if it was managed, thats damn quick lol

Yes quite, apparently the engine my grandfather made had soo much torque (I believe the magazine said around 1000 ft lbs, or that was horse power) either way he had to put a torque strap on the engine, basically a chain holding the engine to the frame.

I'm in sort of the same situation. I'm torn between a new rc glider ($120) or plate mount ($25), plate lights ($5), and brake light flasher ($45) for my ZX6R. I will eventually get all of all of them but don't know what order to do.

To be honest, I don't see why you want to modify your car in the first place, for your first car just run it to the ground. Then get a new one, that's what I did, and I wouldn't spend my money on a Dodge Avenger. Just my opinion.
