Easy there Johnny Tiberius Penso, it's not even in the game. But if it was...........we'd probably never race anything else. :sly:

I actually got excited for a minute thinking I missed a DLC announcement or something...

Wow @gtp news section. I might have been too harsh on DF track feeling artificial. What's next, TM is also some old abandoned track? Also, I'd kill to lap around a real GVR.
P.s. I smell a lawsuit, lol.

I believe the Deep Forest look-a-like is merely a coincidence. I recall seeing marketing somewhere years ago from a previous GT(maybe GT1?) that Deep Forest was designed to be a miniature version of the Nordschleife; an attempt to stuff the most diverse types of turns, camber, and surface into a track that would fit with the hardware available at the time. Makes for a good story, though.

Occam's razor says your explanation is probably the correct one, but this mystery track is surprisingly similar to Deep Forest's elevation change...........almost too similar.

It's just a good job Apple don't own the real-life track.

H8R. It was probably just confused because you wanted to voluntarily go somewhere in Indiana. :sly:

^ I'm sure there are plenty of corporations that have patents on seemingly non-important items. If they didn't patent it, someone else would have. :sly:

Tonight's our official kick-off for the Car Of The Month Club! We'll be starting things off with a trip to Suzuka East, our test races here proved to be quite fun so I'm expecting some excitement tonight. The ORCA_Champ lounge will be opened around 7:30pm EST for some practice and we'll begin the racing at 8pm EST. We'll do a couple 5 lappers to get accustomed to traffic and each other, then we'll crank it up to a 10 lapper and then a 15 or 20 lapper (depending on time).

This is open to everyone on GTP. If you'd like to join us just send a PSN friend request to ORCA_Champ, buy a BRZ/FR-S/86 GT and change the oil, then join us on track! You'll have until 7:30pm EST to get your friend request in and still race tonight, after that I will be logged in under my main ID for racing and won't be able to accept any new requests until after the races.

Hope to see you all at Suzuka for some great racing!

You laying on drinks tonight Brandon? :)

Oh yeah, during the weeknight races I bring a keg and we all party down. We're much more tame on the weekends when you're around.

Bad news guys, I just got home and my power's out. Not sure what's up, whole apartment complex is out. Owens is going to host, everything is still on as planned. Hopefully it will come back on and I can join, if not have fun and be careful in turn 1. 👍

You missed some hella good racing tonight... Hope you're not stuck in the dark for too long.

Yup, good racin'! I shoulda paid more attention to B's warning about turn 1. :banghead: I gotta be trying too hard in this car, about a second off the pace every time. All through the practice sessions I could hang in the top three or so. I guess I gotta calm down a little, these little cars just make me wanna go!

Glad to hear you guys still had a good time. Still in the dark, hopefully back by tomorrow since its a little cold out.

Good racing tonight, really enjoyed it. 👍

Sorry about the hits Mudd, but I enjoyed racing with you. Next time I'll be sure to keep it cleaner. :)

Some good racing tonight and a very strong showing by the Canuck contingent, going 1-2-3 and 1-2-4 in the two feature races. Great job Sag and Nic:bowdown::cheers:

No worries, Sag. I was trying pretty hard to keep you behind me as well, and it was pretty fun even with some minor spinning. :D

Good fun last night. A really good turn out as well. Too bad Brandon couldn't make the trip. Wasn't a good night for me.... couldn't seem to get a hang of that last turn.

Power was back on when I woke up this morning, but it did get a little cold last night! I'm really glad to hear you all had a good crowd and some great racing, and I'm really sorry I couldn't be there. Not exactly how I pictured the first "official" night going down, but all is good. Big  to Owens for helping out at the last minute, much appreciated.

Looking forward to some good racing on Saturday, hope to see another good crowd. 👍

@JP, that picture made me choke on my coffee!

EDIT: Whoever is in charge of naming new vehicles at Ferrari needs to be sacked.

Do Ferrari's have model badges?

Wait a minute, even if they do, I'm pretty sure if a Ferrari owner scrapes anything off his fender he's required to kick his own arse...pretty sure that part of the purchase agreement. :sly:

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer gets the big Canyonero SUV but when he finds out the "F" in "F-Series" stands for "feminine" he immediately gives it to Marge. It had lipstick in the dash-hole instead of a cigarette lighter. :dunce:

I'm thinking about putting each new "car of the month" up for a vote. I will find 2 or 3 cars or car groupings that are fun to drive and race and put up a poll to let the group decide which one we should run for the month. Some of you have a lot more experience with a lot more cars than I do so this would be a way to prevent me from unknowingly picking a lemon. A couple of my first suggestions (Stingray and F40) were quickly poo-poo'd on and I'd like to avoid that in the future. Although I think you should reconsider the F40, some of the recent updates have had a good effect on it and when I drove it on SM tires it was fantastic, not the unwieldily beast that I remembered it being and I think it would be very good for racing (as well as attract a crowd). :sly:
