**CAR OF THE WEEK! Friday 29/06/12**

I jjst want to commend you for shining the spotlight on some of the lesser used cars of the game. Hopefully this is adding alot of enjoyability to the game for the people that may have overlooked these cars. Great job! Keep up the good work! đź‘Ť

Thanks. Took me about 15 laps to get that time!

I didn't find that corner too bad with the wheel as you can keep the arc quite well.

I had some problems braking for the over-square right (the one where you head downhill toward the lake). With no ABS the rears often lock up as you hit the crest, and if the line isn't spot-on the back jumps right and you head into the wall.

I would also get those slow backend breakaways that you can't seem to do anything about. For example out of the first tunnel, if I was too fast in and the line was wrong, I'd apply throttle at the usual point but still had some steering...:banghead:

1:38.639, and I know for a fact there's at least 1 more second left on that track. This car definitely separates the men from the boys.

If you haven't tried this car out yet, look out for the "Gran Turismo Swing." Once that back end starts swinging left to right more than once, the only way to stop it is to complete the spin and scrub off all of your speed, or pitch it into the nearest wall.

There's something fundamentally wrong with this car, and I'll tell you what it is in my review... tomorrow night.

That's the time I got in my tuned car:grumpy:. You must be one of them there fast drivers:lol:

Probably about right though - when I did the Weekly Driving Skills Challenge, I was about normally about 7 or 8 seconds behind the good drivers (10 behind the fastest) on this length of track. I'm crap/lazy at picking out the best lines and braking points.

I ran the Tsukuba 550pp TT in my tuned Spirra at 548pp (supercharger removed) and managed 1:07.17. It's even more edgy on Comfort Softs.

Same here.... I gave up in the end as it was a bit demoralising.

For this weeks COTW what about a Pininfarina design? I know we've had some already, but there's always a Ferrari!

Had a lot of fun with this car the last few hours. I know I won't get in before the next car, but a tune will show up in this thread in the next few days (500pp/sport soft).

Can't wait to see what's next :dopey:

I've personally seen the original prototype, the orange one with the V8, I think. It looked a bit different back then. I saw it at the Proto Motors booth back at the 2002 Seoul Motor Show. I also had a poster, but it's lost somewhere by now.

The original was the PS-II, which is what you saw. The next one, the 4.6 with scissor doors, was the evolution of that PS-II, and debuted in 04. The final production car has a V6 and regular doors.

At least that's what I could dig up.
