I have found that I can't beat this dude that is challenging me for pinks in his ford GT that runs right at 7k, I can't get close to him with all of them perfect. Why would they put him against me know I can't beat him?
 
Have been playing this game for a few days,quick question guys How do I get a Livery on my car I am at level 4 by the way.

Thanks BP for helping me get those two test drive cars. You combined with one of my mates got me them in no time at all. :)

I experience a really, really bad lag when playing Car Town... I'm not sure why. It was owkey for the first 10 minutes but later it lags a lot. It really is irritating when it also lags during the race. It also seem to happen even after I turned off the animation and I always over-rev the engine...

Go to speedtest.net and post your results, I have done mine before, I have (had) a 16mb down and it was something like 7mb up. Our funds have been very tight since I have been out of work so our internet and cable got cut off. My apartments have free wifi for the "pool area", but since I have my router modded with DD_WRT firmware I just made it a repeater for the signal over there. With my laptop I can't pick it up from here, but the router I have the option of changing the millamps, once you up that you up the range by a ton, plus it has duel antenna's. I have mine running at 230ma's and it is picking it up great, and then boosting it so I get a decent signal. Not good enough to play xbox live on or anything, but good enough to do the normal internet stuff. If you post your speed that would give us some insight on what the problem might be, if your speed is ok then its your pc that is lagging, only fix for that is an upgrade. Turning off the animation doesn't do anything for me when racing.



I still can't come close to beating Rusty and his fancy GT40, he is running right at 7k and my viper is fully modded and I can get close but can't beat him. I even have Workspace Macro Pro which is a macro clicker recorder, I tried doing practice runs and recording them until I got the stage and all 3 shifts perfect which would beat Rusty but when I run the macro it doesn't click the same speed I do, even though it is suppose to:tdown: I know its cheating but who cares, I want that GT:dopey:

Well I believe it's both my laptop and internet connection... It's not just lagging in the game, plus my whole computer lags when playing it. Guess I have to live with it for a while :(

Woah, those are some really bad numbers mate. The only thing I could tell you to try to improve it would be to download cablenut to speed it up by messing with your tcp/ip settings, I did this to one of my mates and tripled his speed! No joke. Of course that's not a typical result, but you never know to you try and its free:tup: Also, clear your browser cache, defrag your system, and download spybot and do a sweep and clean your system if there is anything that could be there that you don't know about that could be eating up your resources. Also make sure you download the newest Adobe flash player. Give all of that a try and let us know if it helps you out mate:tup: If you didn't notice I took the time to put the links to each one that is bold/underlined so just click and you won't have to search on google or anything, that's how we roll on GTP:sly: But seriously, give all that a try and let me/us know if it helped, because someone else might have the same issue and you would be helping them out by giving feedback on if it helped you out and how much it helped.



EDIT: Also, what browser are you using? I have better luck using Google Chrome for flash games and all, and use FF for everything else.

Here's a link to settings that have been modified to work for vista mate:tup:

Do the speed test after you have done all the things I told you and lets see if it made a difference for you, hope it does:)
 
It lags a bit when I race too. Almost every race.

It seems to improved a bit, but still lag a little bit during the race... Still I can see improvements anyway :D

Its just illusion, you haven't seen my garage in the game? Mine was somewhat like that, I started changing it around last night and fell asleep and don't have time to finish tonight, but all you have to do is do different combos of walls and floor colors to make the illusion of height etc. But, it does take up a hell of allot of space to do so.

Owh, I see... I thought it was somewhat like a real 2 floor expansion :lol:

No I have yet to see your garage. In fact I rarely go to others garage :P It sounds pretty complicated to do so :crazy:
 
Here's my new garage setup, don't ask how I get the cars up to the lifts and back down, its magic:dopey:

Once I get a larger area I'm going to make it to where it has a ramp going up so it makes sense, instead of the cars just being up there with no visible way of getting there Just not enough space for all that yet, it takes up allot of space doing that type of stuff.
 
Oh yeah, how do you delete and move objects? My garage looks rather bad. Once I get money I plan on being a "little bit" more creative on the garage.

Go to "Edit Garage" than click the carboard box, than move items from your garage to the storage or the trash bin(where you sell stuff). This is also where cars you claim from people wind up.
