Sorry if this thread has been made before. I did a search around and found a thread about a lad who sold his Pagani Zonda race car (which you could only win once).

Wouldnt it be good if on the next Gran Turismo if you were to sell any cars you own it will appear on the second hand cars dealers. Just for a bit more than what you got for selling it. Then it wouldnt be such a horrific mistake to accidently sold your Pagani Zonda race car.

Thanks.

I was thinking that. I have been for a while now, although they should sell it back at a higher rate than the ammount you got for it.

Smart idea that...it is a bit of a bugger when you sell a car you can only win on game completion etc, never done it myself thankfully...

Another thing on car sales...enough with the "--" priced cars...concept or not I don't care...just give us a damn sales price for them all.

People will be whining about selling cars from now until eternity. Just don't seel cars, unless you already have more than one of them! Sheesh. The developers have got more serious things than that to worry about, such as the AI's complete inability to move offline when passing.

You're right, I hope they do something.

Multiple garages would be nice. One garage that is for everyday use and a second that is something like a musuem. The cars would be ready to drive, perfectly set up and away from the "working" garage. A virtual walk through of it would be awesome. The game itself could fill the musueum up with the cars that are rare one-timers like the Zonda.

Instead of the used car lots, another idea is to buy pieces of old cars as the game goes on. Pick up a chasis here, an engine there, a new bonnet over here, etc. In the end you would be able to put it together and finally drive the car. That would be a more realistic way of getting some classics and oh the anticipation!

It would be nice to have them in a used car section, but if the next GT's garage is big enough I wont be selling any cars anyway, like Giles said I keep all my cars unless I have exact doubles, I don't see money as an excuse because money is easy to come by in GT4.

Whatdya expect, even the small things add or detract from the game. Unless you only ever race each championship/series/cup 1 time chances are 100% you will get multiple cars of the same make/model. This is the whole point, about selling cars you have more then one of...at least I assume it is seeing as I can't see why people would sell cars they only have one of. It's an idea, doesn't mean people are whining about it (because if it does then it seems GT is far from being a great game, a lot of things are "whined" about in this series)

Just like in Forza... wich is a very nice thing to have cause Forza is a bit harder, but an't to hard.

How about keep it the way it is...EXCEPT that when you get to 100% completion, you unlock all the cars and you can buy whatever you want.

jamaican
and cars should have a better resale value... i spent 250,000 on an integra and it sold for about 3,500
That's god's punishment for you spending that much on an Integra. lol

with 250,000 into a Integra, it would be unstopable, unless somthing like a car that had 260,000 into it or somthing comes along. I wouldnt mind a car like that, it would pwn!

My vision for some distant GT game is that used cars perhaps even new cars would come from online dealerships. I hope as it is GT5 allows for online trading and selling of cars. I think that they could have some type of online used car place that you can sell you cars at. You set the price etc.

But you can re-win the Nike One as many times as you want. It's not a car you lose for good when you sell it.

I don't even see the point of selling the Nike One, you get no money for it. (unless you have doubles)

how about,

when you want to sell a car, you have options of
1. sell it normally to a dealer for less then the car will become availlable to the online used car lot. Also with trade-in option.

2. pay a small fee to post your car for someone to buy direct with complete specs listed and name your price.

3. online auction.

to buy a used car:
1. online dealer will have a set number of cars just as usual, refreshes when enough units are bought.

2. PD or whoever, provides several random car per day to auction with random mileage. highest bidder takes home the car at the end of auction like ebay!

Just like buying 40 year old Matchbox cars on E bay, except you use game credits.
What happens when the car you buy does not turn up?
