Time to try out what I've been meaning to try for the last 2 weeks :D

Superb shot Bram.

Exactly what I was looking for, I was so happy with my Zonda shot I wanted to see what others could come up. Can't wait to see more, especially yours Mog. 👍

Houston, we have a problem.
I like the photo, and I think it is very cool. 👍

@Everybody (especially Moglet and Bram), though, I like the efforts to make the preview more pleasant to the eye, in poll they will all be equal to the full size image (only resized).

Mine isn't that fancy, is it? All I did was add a little text, I've been doing it more recently to liven up the preview rather than the same old 300X400 with a single border old kind of boring thing :)

I know, I know. But, if I cut one, I have to cut everyone. Sorry.

The other week, the image went to poll, because there was no rules in the CCCL. I merged the PmC rules in the CCCL this week (and still working on the competition layout). Either way, the preview will be uploaded again (with a lower size (since normal photobucket size is 320 px)) for the poll…

I will not disqualify, the only penalty is for the preview to become smaller than the normal 400px….

But you won´t ignore their entries as you did with mine (the other comp, bec. of the file name´s length - surely you remember), will you?! :mischievous:

Yes, I remember, and yes I admit I overreacted a bit. My apologies for that.

But sure, you never run one of these competitions.
One thing is to prepare everything before the poll will be up. Such has calmly save some of the photos to my HD (such has this cases), upload them, making another preview, even for people who submit in thumbnails, making bigger previews for them, putting together all the code, copy pasting all the code for word pad or MS word and copy pasting the codes for the poll options.

And the other thing is to have everything done, and when you are ready to press the button to post the poll, a message appears saying: option X exceeds poll character limit;
It happened allot of times, I have to go back save the picture to my HD, upload the picture and a preview to an alternative photobucket account, then making all the code and copy pasting that image to the poll.

Both me, and Swiss warned extremely about the poll having character limitation and for people to put shorter names to they’re entries, I have put a rule on the PmC, things stopped (two weeks) then, last PmC poll case came, and I just nearly lost my mind when I saw the message after I pressed the post the poll button. I didn’t even saw who’s entry was.
Was it a mistake? Yes. Do I regret? I don’t know, maybe that way people shorten in their entries names. One thing you can be assured, it won’t happen again.

A lot of people don't realise how much work it takes to host these things, it's a massive job. Kudos to everyone who runs them 👍

well,...at least...

But sure, you never run one of these competitions.
So what? Oh... of course... I should shut my mouth because i´ll never run a comp?!:odd:

I don´t really care about the efforts YOU got with hosting a poll and such things - because i really hope you´re not forced to do it...
But I do appreciate that it is done.

After all, what are you trying to say? I shouldn´t complain about your,... fair decision?

No, I never said or implied that you should shut up or that you shouldn’t complain.

I only explained what happened, why I did it and the differences between that case and this case.

There is still a penalty for the poll character limit case (full size image removed) if you would like to know.

well, nearly you did, but thats just my understanding...

ok...so... thanks for the explanation...keep hosting (and ignoring naughty users pics:lol:)
One last thing, doesn´t matter if you care or or not, it was no personal offence, i mean, yes it was you, so i had to tell you, but we don´t know each other, so it can´t be that personally ;)

Luis, you do a lot of work to host these. Extra work I think. I didn't know you resized peoples pics to give them the right preview size. Big kudos for that. Most don't even notice. I can't decide yet if you overreacted or not. For the people that don't know you well, I can see why they think that about this situation. You are just a guy who likes things in order(like me...-ish :D), to be equal, and ...fair. Fair because the equal preview sizes, in a way, kind of levels the playing field. The eye tends to skip the smaller thumbnails from imageshack, for me at least. shhh don't tell anyone.:P
Araba, have no hard feeling buddy. Us hosts are crazy.

mykolas...why no larger size? The preview looks stunning.
speedemon - I notice the nice job on your rim scaling. Also a better job on the color change.👍

Swiss thanks 👍
I don’t resize all previews, only the ones in thumbnails (you do it too, I think)and the ones that have more effects than the full size images.
God, no, I done that in the Artistic competition, all preview 320 px, and that’s an hell of a work, so I give up doing it. 👍

But do you know what? Keep the entries coming
