Bruh. I don't know a whole lot about these newer Hyundais, Genesises? in particular, but they seem to be getting more appealing. I really dig the route you've taken here; talk about a change of pace. I'm looking forward to seeing updates in the future!

Thanks. The Genesis sedan was meant to compete with BMW 5 series, Mercedes E Class, Infiniti M etc...Comparable performance, materials, build quality but at a lower price point. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people who shop for cars in this segment are usually brand snobs so the Genesis was kind of a hidden gem. Not quite 100% on par with the competition, but at a significant discount.

At first I wasn't too excited about the color. I was looking at a silver one with brown leather that was so sexy but they had sold it the day before. But this pearl white sure does clean up well.

;~; I liked that Abarth of yours. But still, I'm one of the more biased people on this forum in regards to luxury versus performance, so this Genesis is right up my alley. You're right about the hidden gem sentiment, though - the press recognized that the Genesis was a good car when it was first introduced, but then everyone sort of... forgot about it. But still, these are the luxury bargain when it comes to used examples, especially the R-Spec, with lightly-used models going for peanuts. I'm sure you got a good deal on yours, too. Looks sharp. 👍

Well, it's sad to see the Abarth go, especially as I'm not that big fan of the Genesis. I know it's probably a good deal, but I won't lie about my own brand snob-ness. Which is why I would have considered something bit older, but slightly less Hyundai-ish.

Honestly, if I had more time to shop around I probably would have gotten something different, but I needed a different car asap and the Genesis kind of fell into my lap. I had always liked them since they first came out and figured a change of style wouldn't hurt.

Now if only I could get dreams of some slight VIP style mods out of my head.

Those damn eyelashes. Even worse on Beetles. I've yet to see them on Mini Coopers, thankfully.
