I went out and bought a Tesla Roadster and took it to Cape Ring. Why Cape Ring? Because I feel it is the most "sterile" and "clean" of all the tracks in GT5. I thought the zero-emission, environmentally friendly (more or less) Tesla would fit well here. I suppose it did, but dear lord was it a boring car to drive. Probably the single most boring car I've driven!

Going for the sterile look...

Post-processing style inspired by andrea

I was nearly falling asleep after taking a few pics, I just had to take an emissions-heavy R34 and ruin the Swiss countryside! :D

Hope you guys liked this quick little update!

Note: I'm going away for a week to Utah so my posting may be a little sporadic. At some point in the near future you will see some (hopefully) epic JGTCHDR's which heavily emphasize the clouds at Nurburgring GP. Stay tuned! Also keep an eye out for my photomode tournament round 2 entry! :D:D:D

Comments on Esprit set:
cf your photos are amazing, how do you get them to look so real?

The main things are color toning, curves, sharpening and noise (in that order.) I may do a tutorial on color toning because I get this question a lot :D

Absolutly astonishing Work and Gallery C_F! :)

love the first 2 of the esprit

Awesome work. Didn't know that was a premium and now I might buy one ;)

Awsome !

Thanks again for making this for me

It shows once again that you are on of the best :embarrassed:.

No problem! (For those that are wondering, I didn't take this pic, but I did the processing per request)

The first 2 pics are my favorites.

Great shots, love the use of blur on your "mog-shot".

Gorgeous shots of the Esprit :)

Wow I thought that Espirit was real! How much time you spend editing each shot? The 2nd shot is my fav:)

Average is 15-30 minutes per shot, my record BY FAR is 6 hours with my photomode tournament round 1 entry...

I like the composition in number two.

SVX
I like all of these! Amazing shots.

All your shots are great, but
 LOVE this one, looks wicked real

I'm going to have to take some of my cars out to the wangan. My pictures never turn out this nice though. Any advice? What effects do you use?

See above :D

The second shot (Homer Simpson Drool voice)Really Captured the Styling of the Esprit.

Awesome Esprit shots, love the first two. đź‘Ť

Nice gallery, I like your work with colorful cars and speed!

What you have just done, is made me decide that in 23 hours (as soon as I get onto GT5) I am buying an Esprit, just because of the name, and I'm going to drive the hell out of my Esprit and take photos because of your shots, spectacular work Ceiling Fan, đź‘Ť  đź‘Ť

Awesome, I'll be sure to check out what you come up with đź‘Ť

Wow, those Esprit shots are đź‘Ť Well done mate!

Thanks everyone!! I'm glad to see you all liked the Esprit update. Your comments keep me going... đź‘Ť

You will be busy later on, when it comes to emptying out the R34's Turbo. And for one very good reason, it will be full of the following:

*Yodelers
*Alphorns

I love those Tesla shots. I think I must do a Tesla photo shoot soon. I don't think my pictures will compare. Those are great.

The orange paint goes very well with the blue sky. :D Very nice pleasing images. I like the R34 tunnel shot too.

The new photos look fantastic. đź‘Ť Of course I am in love with your R34 photo.

Also, thanks for the response. I'll have to start messing around with some of those settings in some of my photos.

Thanks everyone, and glad you like my shots nigrick :)

I really love HDR+clouds so I did a photo shoot at Nurburgring GP, which has some of the nicest clouds in GT5. I did some HDR processing when on the plane flight from California to Utah. :D Hope you guys like!

Excellent shots, my favourite is the 4th one, looks like a real photo. đź‘Ť

Those clouds are the highlight of the picture, what settings did u use in Photomatix and is the exposure bracket set to 1 or 2 stops?

Thanks everyone!

Settings are generally done on a image-by-image basis, but generally I use detail enhancer with high strength and smoothing and reduced saturation. It's important to tweak the color toning in another program after processing the HDR. The shots are -2 -1 0 1 2, shot 4 is not an HDR, and shot 5 is -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 đź‘Ť

I have a sweet update incoming, picking up some gems sitting on my hard drive while I'm away on vacation :D

First time commenting here, outstanding gallery with lots of variation. Superb combo of shot taking and editing skills. đź‘Ť

Keep it up. :)

Thanks everyone!

Cool, I'll try that when I have time. It takes a long time doing editing per photo especially HDRs.

Looking forward to the gems in your HD.:)

Interesting :mischievous:...the Tesla pictures are pretty great a minimalistic and so is the R34 @ Swiss Alpes :)đź‘Ť

Also, this new update is amazing as well. Really like the fourth one and even though I'm not a fan of strong HDR picture, I really like how the fifth picture turned out. But I have to say, I still want to try some HDR as well.

You know how many times I used to stopped in here, before I got back to being active in the galleries, and yet have never made a comment? I'm ashamed!

So, so, so much quality work in here; there's always talk of quality vs quantity, but you buck the trend and just give piles of both! I'm slowly backtracking to wherever I left off, but already in the first few pages I've found a bunch of images I want printed. A long time ago, Franz reminded me about that wall of images from GT4, that Kaz was standing in front of, and I fully plan on doing my own eventually once my office is all set up. I imagine there will be a lot of C_F images there :D

As for your PM last week - no sir, you will not see me next round, but good luck on the next one yourself!

 Cheers everyone, thanks for the cool comments!

And now... DUN DUN DUNNNN

I could have sworn I posted this, I had it all ready to post on my computer but I guess I missed it :dunce: Full size is a portrait!

You may recognize this as an alternate version of shot 3 from the last update :D Accidental panning mode 1 ftw! :dopey:

Standard cars often do best in not so 'flashy' images, I think this one turned out well.

My Matte White Integra Type R update is next, stay tuned :D
