What time is the race and do I need to send friend request to get into room...Bob

I think it was around 5 pm bst but not 100% sure. But yes you'll need to send a FR (please just write DTM or something in it, blank FR's seem random when I'm not sure I know that PSN)

Just finished a P2 session @ 1:25.244 without downfoce. Ill be running a P3 sesson tonight with downforce to see what my lap times will be tomorrow. Does anyone know what time the room opens for sure in Pst? It would suck to miss the race since I put in about 200km of practice.

are you using racing hard tires? If so, that's a good time

Really I figured 1:21's to 1:23's would be the fast guys time. I still haven't turned up my front downforce yet. That usually locks me at my fastest time or drops off another second depending on the track.

I really need to find out what time the race is tomorrow or today for everyone else in the world, I'm pst over here or better known as GMT -8. I don't want to sleep past the green flag on accident. Hopefully someone can post quick before I fall asleep. In the mean time I'm going to go off Rally's last post race start time.

Just done 25 laps at Madrid in the CLK. Best time was 1:24.688 on lap 22. That was after changing tires and not adding fuel. It was also my only sub 1:25 lap so i must have hooked it up pretty nice. Was getting 1:26s as my standard good lap. There are 3 spots on this track where if you dont get the right line it will add at least a second to your time. 1st hairpin, the 90 degree right hander where you come out at the bus stop and the final chicane. I needed about 5 laps before i got a sub 1:28. Could be an interesting race tomorrow fighting for that one good line...

the race in 9 away from this post

I haven't adjusted the gearbox or suspension settings for this track, I'm still running the grand valley setup, every time I think I get the opportunity to the missus wants to play stupid skylander's, or we get some unwanted guest's, or the phone rings, hopefully I get a good hour leading up to the race to tune it out a bit, the phone will be turned off! and all guest's will be told to ....... go away in a non friendly manner,

Shall I now revert back to GT5? Or, shall I wait until after one more iRacing race? Oh, such a tough decision! :(

I'm at odds with iRacing, I keep meaning to do it, but it just doesn't seem to have enough substance to want it for that price, like I have used it and I like it, but until I can afford to get the new Raceworks OWTC simulator and a decent gaming computer I would rather go without, my current G27 is just clamped to an old office cupboard and is a pain in the backside to use for anything other then the playstation, I might wait for another 6 months before I commit to it,

I better wake up at 8am my time then I could of swore this race series was latter in the evening like bankfin's time. I have trouble with finger numbness in the mornings plus it's hard for me to get up. :nervous:

8 in the morning? I don't know that it's that soon. I think it's noon, my time.

I just bought a membership, because they're still on at half-price. 💡
yeah I figured I should investigate it some more and noticed that, I should try a 3 month trial for $15, you cant lose at that price, I will sort it by the end of the week,

the races are usually later, but this one is early because Mel, spaz and myself have to get to the WRC event which is the usual race time, plus I figured I better allow some time for people to get some final practice in and allow us some time to get some WRC practice in too,

I think its about an hour and a half early,

I will open a room in approx 1h:45m, race is 2 and ahalf hours away guys,

Might be late for the race due to dinner but don't worry if that's the case :)

I will try hold off as long as I can, but I don't want it to interfere with WRC as my self and Mel will be pressed for time to race this fella after,

I'm not going to make it today. Work is getting in the way.

close the course due to weather, to hot, to cold, there could be sars virus from the 1st green to the 18th tee block, the oxygen in and surrounding the club may contain Leprosy, OH&S reasons anything!!!!

I told an old boss I had bird flu to get some time off, it worked:lol:

Chinch bugs, Manganese, a lot of people don't know what that is  (I'm quoting Caddyshack)

Actually, my course is really busy today. I've been at work 2 and a half hours, and I've been on my feet the whole time.

that's good for the club, my club is going to be dead soon, we have the oldest, best maintained, hardest course in south Australia and the club is falling in debt as our memberships ar about $450 more per year then the other courses, our management was full of greed hungry idiot's and the guy that owns and runs the pro shop doesn't and never has paid a percentage of buggy/ cart rentals, club rentals, sales or even building rent in 30 years,

Our club is hurting a little bit too. The course in the best shape it has ever been in. Our memberships have recently gone up too. So has the price of a round. Today, a wedding reception is going on at the clubhouse, so about 12 men from the wedding are playing. All but about 2 are non-members which means they pay more than double the regular price.

Yea right!? As soon as I get my racing chair with a wheel and all the good stuff like an up to date graphics card, so i can run the game seamlessly, I'm going right to Simraceway... Or iRacing. Simraceway seems cheaper, I think, not sure tho

its unfortunate, but golf is slowly becoming a dead sport, last time I quoted a reasonable beginners set, nice feeling putter, bag, buggy, balls, membership etc, I was looking at close to $4500 AUD, and with today's technology and high speed life style 4-4.5 hours is to long for some people who are just impatient, in england they have started doing 9 and 12 hole comps on sundays, with 4 day membership, just to keep interest,

I just looked before, iRacing is half price membership, so once I get or make a decent driving stand I will most likely join, $15 for 3 months membership, that's 2 DVD's from the video store, I'm sure I can part with that,

I've never heard of simeraceway, can you send me a link?

Yea I'm on my phone so it'll be a minute. Its cool. It has some eh tracks like GT5 but just like iRacing a lot of pros actually use it. I don't know i if you have to buy the tracks but cars are anywhere from $1 to $5. They have great cars tho. 70s McLarens and 3 of the are from the 2000s. I'll quit typing and get the link

Yea, actually just go to www.simraceway.com. Free download of the main game but you have to download tracks and more cars. They give you a free Lancer

It's earlier today because it's preseason I think.

It's earlier because this is an improvised preseason that would otherwise conflict with round 1 of WRC
