Well, Worldcarfans nailed the full reveal date, didn't they? :odd: LA week can't come soon enough for me, I really want to see the finished product without the cover. Fun fact: this isn't the first time GM launched a concept in LA with the Chaparral badge:

Say hello to the Volt, GM's 2008 LA Auto Show Design Challenge entry. The 2X is the comeback kid, my friends. :sly:

I remember seeing this in one of my Top Gear magazines when I was younger.

Interesting, I also remember seeing magazines (Top Gear in particular) focusing on these LA Design contests and their wacky projects. In fact, I believe I own a Top Gear (a British one, before Portugal started to sell a shorter version) with an article about some crazy LA concept cars. Maybe Top Gear will mention the 2X when they cover the LA Motorshow?

Also, if you haven't read it, Chevy and PD are ofering a chance for some lucky players to attend the 2X's unveiling ceremony. The top 3 lucky ba... er, I mean fastest drivers will earn an opportunity to see the 2X in person on November 19.

I can confirm there is just one Vision GT car coming from GM Design (the Chaparral 2X).

There is no separate Corvette project; that was only a misunderstanding because it was first announced on the official Corvette Facebook page.

Thank you for the clarification!

I'm not going to start a thread just for this one question I have, so here is good enough..

There is only one GM VGT spot in GT6, but why are people speculating/saying that there is a Corvette and a Chapparal VGT, when neither of those are labeled in the game. I know they are (were) both under GM, that's obvious, but imo the VGT under the cover between the two other Chaparral's looks the same as the Corvette news thread.

Mercedes has (I believe) two different types of VGTs in their section of the game, but at least they are defined. These GM's are not confirmed in the game, unless they change in the next update...

So really the question is, are we getting one from Corvette and one from GM, or is it just one from GM for Chapparal?

If there is a Corvette concept headed to GT6 it won't be labelled as a VGT.

Looks like a closed cockpit race car. GM's take on the X-car series? I hope it's a little more manageable to drive than the X2014.

ETA: The above photo appears to be the rear. There's some sort of canopy ahead of that and instrument lights are showing through it. Maybe it'll have an interior?

This is what I was hoping for the VGT projects!!!!

That's... I have no words. Who would've thought that the "masters of the recall"
could come up with one of the best, most innovative designs in VGT history!? Sleek? Check. Futuristic? Check?

UNIQUE!? Check the hell of out that too!

Now, if PD doesn't screw up the handling (PD, I'm looking at you... :grumpy:), this is shooting straight up to 1st on my VGT list. Bring it, so that I shall drive it!

I hope its an X1 Killer! PD, Chaparral is by far the best brand to compete with the X1, so make it happen! I wonder what ridiculous thing this car runs on!
