Ok yeah.

I 'was' gonna post my plans for a plywood based table
to mount my DFP on and use with an AK Rocker, but I think
I'm gonna stop reading this thread now..

Some of your guys' setups are rediculous.

PS2 - $160
DFP - $220
Chair - $100
Table Materials - $15
GT4 - $70
-----------------
Total = $565

..and I thought that was overboard.

You guys are just crazy/excessively wealthy.

my fav in probobly this thread for cost and simple to make is probobly the black PVC one.. I'd switch out that expensive chair with a bean bag probobly.. lol.. if only he had a list of what exactly he used..

very lovely set up guys 👍, very good tips, as i got around 2 weeks to knock together a cockpit, with dads help :)

There are more photos in this thread, as well as the following explanation:

"Yeah, I got the Rocker from BestBuy. It doesnt move at all during driving, and its very comfy. It was the costliest part of the whole rig, at $75. The rest of the materials included: PVC pipe, fittings, cement, plastic primer, black plastic gloss paint (3 cans), 24"x24" plexiglass sheet (cosmetic hood), (2) U-bolts for scrap wood & some black velcro to affix the pedals to the crossbar. I had a 10ft USB extension cable already, that I wasnt using. So, in all I spent about $150.(excluding the wheel, which was another $150)"

I think it looks cool! 👍

I built a ghetto version (using the term "built" very loosely) using a 23" sawhorse, and 4 doorstops to secure the ak rocker. I had bought a DFP for my pc a while ago, so I used that. Note: I had to cut notches in the sawhorse for the wheel to fit.

It's fugly, but it works. i planned to cuver it up w/ contact paper, but never got around to it.

Aipex
Here's my setup. I still need to paint the wood and cover the padding on the leg braces, but other than that it's done. I found the seat at the junk yard for $20. Materials cost about $45. These pics were snapped before it was wired up, all wiring is now neatly zip tied to the tubing with a power strip under the foot platform. The seat is powered also, so it is fully adjustable and very comfy. Notice the bends in the tubing behind the seat, makes it very easy to slide it around on carpet! Took about 16 hours to build.

Sweet setup Aipex!!! I sent you a PM, but feel free to share some instructions if you don't mind. :)

While we're on the subject, can I use my Dell 1901FP LCD with a VD-Z3 VGA Transcoder as my cockpit screen?

OK, updated pics of the el'cheapo setup. Simple table cut to size and a riser for the pedals that is weighted and grip taped on the bottom to keep it from moving.

With the optical wire I got today the game doesn't sound too bad at all on the old system.
