Would it be asking too much if someone could explain how to use retro's method? I'm not even sure I will be able to use it, but it will make it a level playing field for everyone :)

Although, if it needs a special tune then don't feel the need to go into details đź‘Ť

No just keep your same tune that you have one the MP4 and launch it in 1st then quickly shift to 2nd. Its gotta be fast bro like right when the car takes off take it off in 1st and shift to 2nd keep it at a low RPM when you take off in 1st so itll have room to burn out rather then the pin jumping back cuz of the bogging.

Actually I was the first person to submit a pic 2 or 3 pages back, but it was a quick 5 minute trans tune and spent 40 minutes learning and finding shift points for that trans, and suspension tweaks. But I need to find a better transmission. Think my top speed is set too high, I thought I had a really good time though. I didn't see Karo's time or post mine until after I left for work. My time was 9.312 to save you from looking for it. :)
 
Sorry bud, I remember seeing that now, but the "back on Monday" thing got me confused :dunce:

A quick shift 2nd to 3rd setup got me down from about 31x to 29x đź‘Ť

Ah, ok, I tuned before going to sleep Wednesday night, I work Thursday to Monday.

I might try moving 3rd closer to 2nd, I would launch and hold 2nd gear for around 2 seconds and be in third well before the 60 mph mark. I still think the trans is just plain wrong, it's set to 185 with no stretch in 7th and lowest final.
 
Has anyone else tried using ballast? I found that a minimal amount helped. Only improved my time by about .003 but it miggt help someone get to 9.28s. I'm a long way from that though. My best so far was 9.317. I'll put a pic up in a bit if I don't get it any better.

Edit: After looking back at the rest of the times I see we are already in the .28s. Forgive my oldness lol. Nice work so far everyone. đź‘Ť

Got it to 9.310. Gotta rework my tranny though. I think I'm losing out on top. Are you guys using all 7 gears for this (except for 1st obviously)?

I made this event so we can make our cars faster and to see how much we can push them. I mean I never expected the MP4 to hit 9.28x but clearly it's possible.

Master posted 9.290 almost 3 months ago but after that something happened and he asked all his times including MP4 to erase from Leaderboard.So i expected someone to make it faster!!!

I have bro got it down to .286 , but still this will be close.

I removed them at his request đź‘Ť I'm shocked you're expecting someone to make it faster though. I think Master is an epic tuner and even getting close let alone beating his time is an achievement... although I'm more about congratulating than expecting :P

Anyway, thanks to Karo's advice I can use retro's method now. As you said bud, it's basically a very quick double tap đź‘Ť

I'm using all the gears now Kenny. Essentially it's a 2nd to 3rd quick shift though and I'm in 7th well before the finish ;)

I don't think I'm capable of getting any more out of it and CheahBro was much quicker to get there than me so if nobody beats it then congrats bud đź‘Ť

Awesome times guys! I'm using all my gears too. I was just wandering if maybe you guys were only running through 6th and that was where I was losing time. I'll try to retune my tranny a bit to see if I can at least get into 9.30s lol. Thanks for the advice. đź‘Ť
 
Masters tune and mine were so similar but my time done at my first tries
so i didnt know back then if aero could make such a difference!!!
Without a wing my time was 9.315 and my susp was ok but not the top.
So i have to conglatulate the first at 9.286 and yes its a fast time!!!
CheahBro well done but i think i'll see a time at least at 9.284 soon enough...

Althought I'm getting worst by 0.019 I think I can improve the trans :)

Cool, just think...in just 25 days you'll be running 9.280 if you keep the same rate of improvement :)

Edit : I'v changed the 4th 5th and 6th more to the left and the 7th all way to right.. Indicates a top speed of 175 but it does 161.

Try that at 190-195 it'll be quicker then your time Fo sure
 
Np Kenny I recommend it at 195 launching it retros method.
As for as D' it's prolly cuz of your suspension is why it's slowing you down with a higher top speed
 
The 2nd max/min is the Spring Rate ? I did it , now I'm going to change top Speed to 193 mph

Edit :

That ^^ , Top Speed 201mph , full right 7th = Top Speed 196 mph - 9.479

Edit : Twicked susp and gears = 9.442 :D

Wow i'm away for the weekend and come back and see you guys got this car much faster! Props for your times CheahBro and fest0r đź‘Ť I've got my time down to a 9.288, but my 0-100 is at around 4.192 been adjusting individual gears to see if I can get it lower in into the 4.18's but I only make it slower, looks like I need to figure out a new starting final gear to use.
