Silverstone pics

(Sorry, I can't remember all the drivers and cars now :dopey:)

First Corner, and the meagre crowd are talking amongst themselves.

@FergusMik and @LOGANHEAD831 take Jocke (I think)

Final lap and, yep, the inevitable happens as @SmileyWRX takes the lead.

Logan 'Dick Dastardly' Head tries to pass Fergus 'Peter Perfect' Mik, but fails to take the place, and can only follow Mik to the line.

First corner mayhem ensues: @FergusMik gets ahead, Goofy / @Team_SWE_1 takes to the grass in the hope of avoiding the sideways Mini.

The long uphill slog; who got their gears right?

Goofy shows his (Swedish) colours, as he applies pressure to Woodski through the tricky chicane to the steep uphill run.

@SmileyWRX 's team mate succumbs to his constant presence in the rear view mirror - yes the result is predictable.

One of the two Mini's from this weekends races.

I think that is the red Mini in the painting of the Corkscrew in post 312 serviced by my engine builder, Graham Reid of Heritage Garage in Costa Mesa. You can read the Heritage stuff on the back fender. I have some of those round Heritage Racing Team decals shown in the rear window. Definitely one of Alice's cousins. Small world.

Upcoming Race Day Agenda:

For those involved in Sick Cylinder's Sunday Classic Racing Series and also race with us, we will be featuring Sick's track selection as part of ours each week. The intent is to allow his racers to gain familiarity with the upcoming tracks when they race their Minis with us.

His September 28st track is: Monza ‘80s.

Race 1: Monza ‘80s - 3 Laps
Race 2: Monza ‘80s - 3 Laps

Race 3: Brands Hatch GP Circuit ‘80s - 4 Laps
Race 4: Brands Hatch GP Circuit ‘80s - 4 Laps

Short Intermission for drink/washroom/smoke etc.

Race 5: Nurburgring Nordschleife - 1 Lap
Race 6: Nurburgring Nordschleife - 1 Lap

Race 7: Special Stage Route 5 - 3 Laps
Race 8: Special Stage Route 5 - 3 Laps

As usual we will see if we want to run anymore after those...

Intervals between races will be approximately 5 minutes, manual start.

Default room settings (as per post #1) with the addition of Driving Line Aid for the newcomers.
Room will be limited to 16 racers.
This will be a Public Room.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Remember, keep it clean!

Thanks
Mik

Good Thing I am Off this whole WEEK & My GREEN MINI is READY! Hope to see you all on Wednesday

I like it. Nice one indeed.

See, you don't need me for pictures anymore. :)

@Woodski_427 REALLY GOOD JOB!! I guess I been using the GT6's Photograph mode WRONG this whole time! Even when I edit My Pictures I can't make them as good as you!:bowdown::bowdown:

Thanks both, really appreciated.

@MannYhAvitZ, I think they are the first 'bowdowns' I've ever received :dopey:. I did a lot of photos in GT5 and some of the ideas and techniques are coming back. There is some nice stuff you can do with the GT camera.

@Woodski_427 is right. It is amazing what can be achieved without any post editing.

This would be the Lord of the Rings tournament....

OK guys I would like to get some feed back about running a 10 race tournament with the Mini's .... 16 point spread 16 points for first. 1 point for 16th...we would run this in the middle of the Wednesdays night mini race as a ten lap feature with one pitstop manitory during the race.

"Lord of the Mini Ring"

This would be a 5 race tournament on all the "Mini" tracks 15 lap races... 1 pitstop manitory... Autumn ring mini forward and reverse, Madrid mini forward and reverse, Chamonix mini snow rally track.

Let me know what you guys think of the two options. I will do the scoring of the driver in the tournament as well as I would want another driver to do so as well to keep everything on the up and up...

I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone on your thoughts about this tournament.

There are 16 tracks with the name "Ring" in the name not including all the nur burg layouts... We would like to have the tournament finally to be at the full Nurburg Ring. With at least 5 laps... With double points at the finally.
