FINAL ENTRY

Went for something simple, yet effective. Hoping for more than 1 vote this time, though :P

Composition is really good. But what about the lighting? Imo it would have been far more impressive if the Pug had been driving into the rising sun. But of course, it´s only my opinion. Probably a lot of other guys will like it though.

Wow, amazing entries already here.
Got to get going. :)

I doubt someone will use GT1 cars. (eg: Viper Oreca, C5R, M3 GTR)
Maybe i'll give ago with those. If it turns well...that is.

I was thinking about entering the RM Corvette ZR1. I wasn´t sure though whether it was eligible; besides that I used both of my ZR1 pics that I have on Flickr in previous competitions. So I´m gonna stick with one of my older Oreca 908 shots which still needs some editing.

(and yes, this time it will be the 908 :D)

ZR1 and Z06 RMs should be allowed. Their bodywork is exactly the same as both versions of the C6R's (GT2 and GT1 respectively). And both cars have raced and won Le Mans...

Nice photo Wallbreaker, well done 👍
Here's my entry, I hope you will like it!

Ugh. I hate you all, you're making me have to shoot a new set just to make the poll.

Oh man! I've just finished my new set of pics and most of 'em were taken at Le Mans.
Too bad I'm still using this stupid mobile internet and I can't upload anything...:grumpy:

Haha, wow indeed - I didn't know Schwadegan posted just two minutes before me. And I didn't mean to be a copycat either ;)

Pretty cool haha! It will be interesting to see if one or both of us make the poll, the photos have rather different style after all. 👍

Personally I get more Le Mans feelings with sunset rather than sunrise. Sunset always for me has the atmosphere that it's the start where a driver's concentration will be so important, and also the ultimate test what is night driving will start.

You´re welcome :P

I´m getting it... Someone at Eurosport last weekend said that it must be a satisfying feeling to know you´ve done the night, because it´s the most difficult part of the race and by far the part with the most atmosphere. 👍

Both are allowed as they both could race at Le Mans. I would not say the same regarding all others RMs.

Thanks Schwadegan :)

And wow, two very similar pics posted within two minutes. Coincidence? :P

And did you noticed it's the exact same location on my winning 787B pic?? :sly:
One of the best photomode place and one of the most thrilling braking zone of the track.

Oh my, you're right! 💡
I didn't care for any part in particular of de la Sarthe before I got myself a 787B Race car - such a wonderful machine! And it made me appreciate the track a lot more, as you said this turn is quite challenging as well as the corner at the end of the straight.

A few more runs with the car and I think I've created a setup that will take me through the Nürburgring 4h (I've been holding of on this race until I found a car that I could drive quite comfortable but still was a challenge, perhaps not against the opposition but rather against myself, and the 787B is just that car for me!)

This can´t be coincidence :D

Dunno who it was but someone here used to call it "cheater´s paradise", lol.

Question: is the Jaguar XJ13 allowed? Never raced at Le Mans, but was intended to enter the event until the big wigs at Jaguar said no.

Its not that the Big wigs at Jaguar said no, the rules were changed before the XJ13 was race ready, so it sat in a garage until it was totaled, then rebuilt.
