COOL!! I had no idea they also used a 3 rotor wankel in the RX8 LM. Awesome.
Actually it doesn't. The 787B has a 4 rotor wankel and the RX8 LM a 2 rotor. Not sure if this makes the picture ineligable or not. I didn't realise the criteria were quite as strict when I took this, however SlipZ hasn't called it out yet - though he might now. :scared:
Edit: It took me ages to get that shot. I had to start the GT All Stars race about 10 times before a 787B showed up and then it was about 10 times faster than my RX8. I got that shot flat out down the main straight as the 787B shot past me like I was standing still! :)

What exactly are the point in these?

Oh no! Sorry Nato, but yeah, gonna have to ask you to re-shoot :(. I must've missed that. On the other hand, at least I'm noticing it now and not when it comes time to pick the polls!

Aww too bad Nato's is ineligible, great idea + great capture + great editing = my vote :D
Thanks C_F it's nice to hear you say that. :) But I'm back to the drawing board, initially I though both being Rotary's was sufficient but oh well. Hopefully will have some time Sunday morning for a reshoot and edit.

Final Entry

BIG Naturally Aspirated V12s. Separated by over 20 litres displacement but only just over 100 hp. I'd love to have a go in either.

Sorry that yours didn't work Nato, hopefully you can find another awesome shot in you.

Awesome TH! I was trying to think of something similar - you just nailed it. 👍

Thanks Nato. What I really wanted to do was inline 5s but there is only one premium I5 and no matter what I do the old quattro looks flats and lifeless. ( the other I5 is the Ford Focus ST170, others that should be are the TTS which uses the 3.2 litre 6 instead of the 2.5 litre inline 5 and the Volvo C30 which is a four but should have been the T5 model which uses the same engine as the focus)

Final Entry
Mid Engined Supercars 👍
Pop up headlights 👍
4 Circular rear lights 👍
Turbocharged V8s :sly:

i dont know if this is gonna get in
but this is my final entry

7speed gearbox v8 cars

but top gear and fifth gear test it against the rival of the sls

Err, it doesn't matter if it's rival or not.

....
There needs to be two (or more) cars in the image, and they must all share the same
basic engine configuration and aspiration.
All naturally-aspirated V8's, maybe,
or how about some turbo straight-sixes? I want to see them all!..."

The theme basicly want same engine con. and aspiration. Not rival between cars. ;)

You need the same number and configuration of cylinders and the same aspiration (presence or absence of the turbo).

Exactly!

SLS's V8 is Naturally Aspirated (unless AMG fitted with the new V8 BiTurbo) while MP4-12C's V8
has turbo
.
Therefore, there don't have the same aspiration even though they have the same configuration
