A Bavarian driver in a Bavarian car:
"The Lord of the Ring"
Hans-Joachim Stuck celebrating his first big success in a Koepchen BMW 2002 TI
during German Touring Car Championship DTM at Nürburgring.
Well, of course, there is a BMW 2002 in GT5.
But it is just the street version.
As a tribute to the great career of Hans-Joachim Stuck I felt free to create a special scene:
in 1970, the son of pre-war Grand Prix Auto Union driver Hans Stuck
started his career on a BMW 2002 TI by winning the Nürburgring Race of DTM series
(German Touring Car Championship).
Also, he was a 24 h Le Mans winner in 1986 and 1987.

For those of you who prefer the legendary BMW M1, I have some additional information:
In 1981 Hans-Joachim Stuck won the 1,000 km race of Nürburgring
together with Nelson Piquet (1,000 hp engine)
and the 24 hours race of Daytona in the GT class.
In 2011, Stuck finished his motorsports career at 24 h of Nürburgring
sharing the cockpit with both of his sons, Johannes and Ferdinand.
