My complete thought on this mess. I take pride on being a rather clean driver and take extreme caution with everyone but this was just a nightmare. I shouldn't have even raced. If this race counts I am D.O.N.E. with this circus. I do not see Hardy's logic in counting this, even for partial points. You can not warp the rules and race procedures halfway in, have everyone get screwed over by incompetent children and internet issues, and still have it count for ANYTHING. Even at partial points this disgrace to my city's pride and joy may have championship implications. I am 100% positive that no one wants to be screwed out of a championship by a Kamikaze move in round 1 that shouldn't even have happened. But let's just let him make the "right decision".
As for the gentlemen who have taken time out of their work and other daily plans to make this event, I understand why you would want it to count. I too have dropped everything to do this derby, and had 10 more productive things I could have been doing. This race however was just unfair with the mid-race elimination of the Safety Car procedure and ensuing stupidity and lag. Not to mention there were occasions beforehand where there should've been a caution and there wasn't, resulting in being screwed over then, as well as drivers taking free passes when they shouldn't have, gaining an advantage when they shouldn't.
Everyone (including the race directors from yesterday unfortunately) needs to get their heads out of their butts and learn a thing or two before they get all hyped over a "professional" sporting event. Yes, this includes me as well. I made my fair share of mistakes and I apologize to anyone I may have hindered. I thought this IRG Indy stuff was cool and top-notch, I was horridly wrong.
I personally am considering not racing here anymore. I have spent the entire night really just thinking on what I want to do next. I love the passion for open wheel, but I don't think I want to go through this again. I may go to endurance or Super GT or something, but I am highly considering "retiring" from this series. I've been in it for 5 years and this kinda proved that it will be impossible to recreate the fun it was in GT5 when people actually had the mindset for quality racing. From the Indy 500 thread:

I don't think any of that matters now. From redbullrider20's observation, Hardy has either postponed or cancelled the series completely. I for one will not be returning. I'm now looking for new challenges. I encourage everyone to do the same.
There's also Indy Lights on Saturdays to keep me going. Yes we still need drivers for GT500Sooooo, speaking of new challenges... You mentioned Trobes' GT500 league, are you still looking for drivers?
Would anyone be interested in an F1 league on F1 2014?
Maybe some other single seater action on Grid Autosport?
Sorry for hijacking the thread, but there is one hell of a talent pool here, seems a shame to let it go to waste...

It's still here, I'm just looking for where to take it next. It's currently in Indy Lights.I hope one day I can race on BRRT again but I would love a grid autosport league
You're not. It wouldn't matter if you were really. Remember, IndyCar's done. Nothing here really matters.I'd be happy to compete, unless I'm blacklisted after Indy...

I already did once.OK cool. Well, if you wouldn't mind tagging me in the thread so I can look at regs and specs and stuff I can get a car ready for tomorrow... 👍 Thanks!

I wouldn't tell them to go play Forza, that wouldn't help them get better. But yeah, I agree that I would love to be able to single out just those that are good and make a series just for that group. I definitely hope to see everyone down the line.So the 500 didn't even count? Good. I'm not recording that wreckfest. I'll be doing official GTPlanet sanctioned racing and see if/when 2015 CORE WEC comes about and race in that. There are some really good racers here and some really idiotic and self-righteous ones. I'd love to see the former in the future, and the latter go play Forza or something.
Take care guys.
Yeah we all wish we could do and we could but that would be hard. I still like ovals due to the junior race that we had at Daytona because that was real racing. I hope to see all you guys in the future(TheGoodOnes)So the 500 didn't even count? Good. I'm not recording that wreckfest.
