I´m so close to pick a picture with that car too! Its one of the most beautiful Rally-Cars in the game and I´ve made a pretty nice shot from it today. (maybe I´ll post it tomorrow)
But I don´t wanna look like I stole your idea ;)

Engh, no worries. The concept for the comp is limited and there are so many tracks that have legitimate jumps (non curb jumping or just adjusting down-force to have really fast cars skip across uneven pavement) so I wouldn't feel as though anyone "stole" "my" idea. Lots of people use the same car - hell, last weeks regular competition was comprised of what - 75% SLRs? Last weeks 2.0 was limited to 3 manufacturers and there were a handful of the same car.

I agree, the Mitsu is a pretty rally car - has a muscular look on a tiny frame - like a flywight boxer: agile and packs more bang than would appear. It also handles well and isn't infested with dumb corporate logos and adverts that detract from the design of the vehicle; that's why I chose it (aside from it's one of the few standard cars that don't have jacked up textures - it's clean and simple). So, just because I like it too, doesn't mean you can't bring it to the table - smoke 'em if ya got 'em. 👍

I changed my Final Entry to this one:

@ejronin: I had a better shot from a pretty similar angle like yours! But I´m sure if I posted this one, only one of us would be able to make it to the poll. Maybe we get both in it now! :)

Hhm... I haven't taken many pictures of cars in the air so far... but I want to stay in the competition! :D

So, here's one, maybe people will hate me for doing that to a Gallardo, but well... it's just a game.

I hope the picture is not too big. If it is, please contact me.

This is my Final entry.

I hope I'll win the contest... if not, than it's not too bad, that's not my best work.

{BTW, little question for contests in the future: Is there any rule that ban edited pictures? Because normally I use Photoshop to add a bit contrast, or make pictures selective coloured. I'd like to know if it's allowed to use it on pictures in the contest.}

EDIT:

  • No other editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed outside GT5 Photomode.

Found the answer myself.

Yep, if you want editing you'll be wanting the 2.0 advanced competition

To the judge, what you mean by realistic heights/angles, I tried to make my entry as realistic as possible, but seeing so many entries where the photo is taken from the front or the back of the car made me wonder if you care about it too much, and that you just don't want pics from crashes, if so I might change my entry.

Question to this week's judge: Is it necessary that all 4 wheels are visibly off the ground? For example picture where is detail of front wheel that is clearly in the air, taken right from the side of vehicle with camera heading forward is cool? I hope you understand what I mean and thanks for answer.

It's fine.

All I wanted was to avoid photos after crashes, or cars about to turnover, etc.

Yeah, I guess that's ok. As long as you emphasize the fact that the car is mid-air.

For example, take the pic two posts above yours: it's fine, the idea is there.

Well, I may be three-for-three in making the polls so far (including the advanced comp), but I've yet to get within shouting distance of the winners... so I think it's time to up my game a little. I'm not quite sure if this'll get me on the virtual podium, of course, but it's worth a try. So, here is my...

FINAL ENTRY
