CLOSED: The Photomode Tournament: Season 2 - Qualifying Round

If you set the preview to link to the 'farm' view, all you will see is the full size picture on a white background without a way to navigate to the users' Flickr page.

is it possible to see the entries of the Season 1 ?

Yes it is. Just search through my thread made list and you can find all polls from season 1. ;)

Edit:
Oh and, in another note, I just submitted mine to myself so I can start opening up entries private messages without being influenced.

If I could decide which one I should pic, I would enter now too...
But I think I need a few days to decide:nervous:

Hope you won't regret your early Entry:P

edit:
Well, I submitted my Entry early too, haha.:D
Also, I used flickr for it. I set my picture to private and linked the full size to a tab where noone can see my flickr-account. Should be fine like this, or not!?

I'll probably take the 'plunge' and join 2.0 this time. I'll send my entry by the end of the time we have to send them in.

Just wondering right now. Shouldn't be the Tournament on the front/main page?

Just to draw more attention to it!? :)

It will be included at the beginning of the weekly Photomode updates - which tend to go up on Tuesdays :)

It is as it says:

Only one entry per user allowed. It must be that user own work and never seen/used before;

Entries must not come from past competitions or elsewhere in GTPlanet (not even galleries) and you must not post the entry elsewhere until the poll closes.

Is the 'never seen' rule applicable only to the qualifier? I have quite a few pictures that may have been posted on the main photomode forum galleries. And a few pictures posted in the competitions that I later withdrew to post new ones.

Yes, as long as your name isn't in the link, it's fine.

To keep things fair, since this is a knock out type of competition, the never seen rule is applicable throughout the whole tournament.

Hey guys,

There seems to be a problem with Photobucket having users-name in their links. I would advise everyone that uses photobucket and just for the qualifying round, to host your picture in either flickr, imageshack or any other imagehost that doesn't give the user-name on the link.

About flickr problem of other users seeing what you have uploaded, I heard that setting the picture to private will fix the problem. I'll ask bmxmitch to explain in thread how he done it since I don't use flickr.

It's actually pretty easy.
If you upload a picture on flickr and watch it on this page, you have an option to set it on privat there.
Just scroll down and look on the right. There should stand something like "everyone can see this picture". Click on "edit" and set it to "only I can see it"
(I'm not sure if I translated it right, because I use the german version:sly:)
After this is done, there should be a red square under the pic in the Photostream.

I also would recommend to link the full-size version to this page. Just open it in a new tab.

The code should then look like this:

COLOR]

the red code is the new inserted one who links the picture to its full size. The blue code is the preview (no changes needed here)

Hope this helps a few flickr user!:)

message sent last night!!! i'm really confitent with this one.... although usually the ones that im confitent with go terribly wrong:ouch:. did some studying and based my entry on things that i've seen to do well hope this one does good! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!👍

After seeing the 2.0 this week (and all other weeks as well ), I'm having second thoughts about entering that side. Seems like I always is the one 'just' missing the limit. Meh... I'll see. :P
