@g0ld

I think that there are a few people that are sometimes cops that should never be cops. Those are the ones that ram people (when it isn't necessary), give unnecessary tickets, and race and drift around the track just because they can. Those are also the last ones that should be allowed to be a cop. IMO, only trustworthy members should be allowed to be cops (no immature members and horrible drivers as cops).

And what you were saying earlier - when you're the cop and writing a ticket, the racer drives away. Just put the ticket in the chat. Technically he received the ticket, but he just didn't acknowledge you and drove off. So that's 1/3 for him right? Find him again and give him ticket 2/3 because chances are, he did a burnout in your face when he drove off. So one more ticket and then he just got his favorite car impounded. That will teach him his lesson. Works every time. ;)
*Sighs* Maybe if my schedule wasn't so crappy... Maybe...

So here's the plan:

-1 lap cruise around track.(Willow Springs)
-2 lap Shelby GT500 race.(One-make:Willow Springs)
-3 lap C7 race. (One-make:Daytona)
Still thinking about the rest.

I joined for an hour, and I can honestly say the only thing I accomplished was cruising one lap and racing one lap. Not really sure what the objective was...Then GT6 froze. I won't be joining again tonight.

*long post on Cops*

All good points & suggestions, and for those who wish to continue-on the "Cops" tradition, feel free to, but I personally, like @ENDURANCEGUY, have rather lost interest in the mode & activity of 'patrol' itself, and now prefer straight-cruising/tracking. (remember, some of us have been doing this way, waaay before @DBeav12 established a true club for it)

The stress of the chaos it can cause is upsetting at worse, and when your playing at the end of your day, that's really the last thing you want to deal with, + my 'pursuit' vehicles died in GT5 with 2.14 - if you know what I mean. :sly:

I agree, this is something we (management) are trying to work on behind-scenes (along with open-mod spot, VIP's, etc), but with variances in everyone's schedules/free-time, the only chance we get to really make noticable progress is on weekends, and currently it just makes things slow.

I have (unannounced) plans for a CCC-challenge replacement and some other stuff to get to, but I literally got home 1/2hr ago and am still playing catch-up, lol

*on beef's post about NM-cops* Ahhh, true. -_-

This is another reason I've been 'checking-up' on member-activity recently, I'd like to get those members who are very active off that wait-list, but we're already at capacity :ouch:, and the only solutions I see are to-

A.) increase member-count (which has been in discussion) at the cost of increased 'traffic' and, subsequently, a greater amount of 'chaos' in rooms. (those who have hosted full-rooms will know what I mean)
or B.) introduce 'activity & behavior' standards that'd be so strict, it'd cause more harm than good (which I really don't want to do, it'd be like grammar-Nazis for club-activity, bleh :scared:)

Obviously there's no perfect solution, but we'll try to get close. 👍

And if you know what that is, you're awesome.

Or just old, like me :P

@Firehound427

Remember the old GTPD team? We need to bring the GTPD dominance back!

I'm showing my age here but, Remember before there was any sort of club ?, and it was all make-shift lobbies ?

Whole different time then, lol

Then GT6 froze. I won't be joining again tonight.

PD at it again I presume ?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Either way, I hope to host a members-only lobby at Matterhorn (most likely) later tonight (8pm EST), as that's still something I haven't accomplished without disappointment.

Or maybe a SSRX cruise ?

Or maybe a off-road lobby :sly:

We'll see :P

I won't be able to host as I intended, something has come up.

Will most likely try again tomorrow night. 👍

Well, It seems to be the same people going cops most times ive ever seen that game mode, and I can see why it can become boring in cops for the cops themselves since it usually seems to be the same people as no one else will. You can either 1. Force people to go cops (wont work) 2. Get more people that can be cops (increasing members list in other words or some other methods) 3. Increase the attraction of being a cop in some way, say a higher hp limit for want of a better example. Just some ideas to make the game mode more fun in the sense of having more people to stop you getting away with things, Increases the difficulty for those who do want to have a bit of a wild time and run away, And increases the the assurance for the ones who want to mind there own business, that things will be controlled easier so you arent the victim of a 200mph head on crash.

Something id like to tie onto this, In situations for people who are always the cop, obviously it can be a bit of a chore eventually, when other people take over it not only gives you a break, but in some cases, gives you a bit of the enthusiasm back, Obviously, Someone who does something by choice will usually perfrom better than someone who feels like they have to.

Personally, Id love to be a cop, I like the idea and I like the structure, But I aint exactly the first name on the non members waiting list. I can understand why such benefits are withheld from non members such as no supercars and the likes, But I think non members being able to fill the roles of a cop in such modes will make it better for alot of people, And I dont see why it should be withheld in such a case, Unless you dont trust your non members (on waiting list) to be good cops?
Just to be clear before anyone starts complaining, When I refer to non members I mean those who are on the waiting list and have taken the time to make an application and read the rules. Im not stupid enough to think its a good idea to let anyone come in and be a cop without knowing some of the finer details more specific to this group
