Hi Brett can I switch to the 2D ??
I did my testing today and my first thought (GT40) wasn´t that good.
thx

Yeah, you'd need to find a good setup for the GT40. It likes to stick the back end out in corners with the stock setup. Though even then it still may not keep up with the others. I kind of expect it to get dropped from our car list and have an extra driver allowed for the other teams, unless we are able to get it to handle well.

Sakery- No problem mate, ill put you in now.

Joe- Maybe we can allow an advantage to the GT40 if it comes to that, lets see how the pp reduction goes. Looking to start this as soon as the testing is done, ill choose a day for a few hours testing soon.

Currently the GT40 will slide the rear end out really easily, which a PP reduction wouldn't affect. I guess I'll try and find a good tune for it and try it out at it's current max PP (my GT40 is at 599pp max). If I can find a good setup I'll link it for GT40 drivers to use as a base setup.

I'm no tuning expert. All of my tunes have come from GTPlanet. :sly: The only tunes that weren't from here are my NASCAR road course setup, which was done while working with about 5 or 6 other people back in december and my NASCAR Indy oval setup was also done with someone's help.

I think the only setup that was mine was my original NASCAR setup for Daytona Oval, which isn't as good as one I got from here.

Well try the link then and try the toe and camber thing. Does the arse end kick out under acceleration or braking or both?

Both, as well as when you let the car roll through the corner without accelerating or braking. You have to slow down more than you normally would so that it doesn't do this.

Hopefully we can make it fair for all the cars. If not we will have to drop it and that would make me a very unhappy bunny.
Let us know the results.

Ok, either of these 2 tunes will work for the GT40:

The first setup has a little more understeer than the second one. I find the first one easier to control, but you may prefer getting the back end out a little bit, in which case use the second setup. I wouldn't use the brake balance given in either setup; I'd suggest finding brake balance settings that suit you.

Great, ill get Mustard (rich) to give them a shot, maybe we can all get together in my lounge tomorrow or Wed to get the artwork done and test the tunes.

What would you suggest for artwork? All of us lined up next to each other just behind a start/finish line?

Yes, at Daytona thats sounds awesome. We can grab some ideas from everyone and line up. We will need at least one of each car. Can I buy the MK4 from the new dealership? Then its just the 2D.

As well as the logo photo, how about team photos? All the Ferraris together in a picture, all the Jags in one.. etc

EDIT: Yes, the Mk IV is in the new dealership for 20 million credits. The standard cars are the 2D and GT40.

I'll be there with the 2D 👍

How about lining the cars up on the pit straight at Le Mans all at a 45 degree angle like '/ / / /'

Kind of a throwback to the Le Mans 'run to the car and start the engine' starts that they had back in the 60's :)

Great, I got a lot on my hands tonight with Stewards duties so if someone could message the other competitors and ask them to be online at 815 tomorrow we can see if we can get everyone together for piccies, splendid :D

I didnt think about that, wash your cars everyone. I am going to grind the new B spec races to get a MK4 sometime this week should take about 23 races.

I'm grinding the Rome B-spec seasonal race to wear in the engines of my classics. I THINK it's the fastest B-spec seasonal for credits per minute. Then I just have to hope for a 2D with low mileage to appear in my UCD when I have enough. I'll need 12.5 million to buy it. If I get to 20 million, I'll just buy the MKIV.

EDIT: For those who don't think the car wash does anything- I hadn't washed my GT40 since I bought it, had it driven 55 miles by Bob, and then washed it. The car went from being dull to shiny.

For when we do our photoshoot: we'll need to make sure nobody drives on the grass/gravel (dirt will appear on their car. I noticed this when I messed around in the FGT. Dirty tyres too.), scrapes a wall (black marks down the side of the car and maybe some body deformation), or hits each other (more black and deformation). Though backing out to the lounge menu will reset all of this for your car.
