OK I have the message. Really I like anything as long as it stays bunched up. The race length needs to long enough that you can get the most out of your tyres verses someone who drives like a cock and needs a stop.

verses someone who drives like a cock

LOL ! We don't have those anymore ! What does a cock drive like, anyway ? I could add detail, but I have got into trouble on this forum before for mentioning it ! By your definition, I definitely drive like a cock !

There's a joke or two in there somewhere but I'm so not going there. :) I had a couple of good laps with Pep last night in iRacing, until velly slowed me up and the weight shift mid corner sent me into a fence.

Went for a bit of a cruise in A/C last weekend. I figure XR6 might like since he's right into that long GT6 lake track.

I had all the graphics up to Ultra, and being a mod track (that's very large and unoptimsed) the FPS were down - so I had no confidence in the feedback I was getting to push. I've always found A/C to handle just a little odd compared to other sims. But for me all the extra community content will generally make it worth it for the occasional quick race.

Ryan,
It was not Rob Pepper Racing with us on Tuesday. It was someone else. (a few people messaged me asking the same question)
But you had great speed for the word go, it does show you have some a long way over the last few months (which is always great to see)

I am still not a fan of AC, seems too grippy for me still (not sure if this is anything to do with the mods) but will be a great product when finshed i think

Season 1 was a blast. I think we can all agree that we enjoyed it... so....

Final stages of testing in progress for season 2 gents...

I encourage anyone who has some spare time tonight (and in the coming weeks) to drop in to my room and do some testing with me. It would be a great help.

The testing process has been following these parameters.

Standard cars on sport medium tyres.
(No tuning)
543pp give or take.
This includes all drivelines and some cars can be detuned.
To enter the no tuning room you can only paint and perform an oil change.
Any cars for testing must have an oil change done even when it has just been purchased from the dealer.

Have a good look through the dealership for cars that fit this criteria. And believe me when i say that there are some great cars in this range.

Recommended short list...

Gallardo LP560
Diablo GT '00
Ferrari GTO '84
Yellowbird RUF
AUDI R8 4.2 & 5.2 QUATTRO FSi
F40 Ferrari
Lexus LFA
Ford GT concept '02
Ford Shelby gt500
Spyker C8 Laviolette
Aston V12 Vantage

Just a small list of cars to compare times.

I have done lots of testing so far but can only get so far with out any help. With nobody to compare times with and battle it out, it is really hard to make a decision based on my lap times alone.

This testing will continue over the next couple of weeks until i am convinced that the lineup suits EVERYONE.

Hope to see you all soon.

That is all...

Cheers.

Try twisting my arm next week. I'm up to my elbows in databases, C#, and MVC 5 (if you don't know what any of that means, take your current confusion level and multiply it by 100), and if you've been visiting YouTube at all you've likely noticed me throwing away what driving skills I have by playing The Crew (which is slightly more arcade, but has an awesome map for cruising with friends).

Cool. No worries.
I think i have found the cars tonight...

Toyota FT-1
Audi R8 5.2 quattro
Ferrari GTO 84
Lambo Diablo GT

These all run close times at monza.
This will what we will be testing from here in....
May have a new racer on board also which is good news.

Cheers

Monza is a good track to test on but I'd feel more comfortable also testing a more normal track before finalising.
Shame to see the Gallardo and Shelby eliminated (I'd rank the Gallardo over the R8 if they are operating similarly)

I am selecting cars purely bit lap times and level of pleasure to drive at the moment...

I dropped the cobra because of the 4 speed gearbox. We will do it in another season when we can tune. I was thinking that if we cant make a decision soon maybe we should jut pick one car from the list and do a one make season... just to get this season going soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!
....by the way....

Prac session next wednesday night people around 8:30pm Melbourne time.

Cars
Lambo gillardo lp560
Lambo diablo gt
Ferrari GTO
Corvette Z06 '06.
Sport medium tyres
NO TUNING (Detune only)

Please only perform an oil change and paint car and wheels to your preference.

The sport medium tyres can take some getting used to so prac is a good idea if you tend to use racing tyres often.

This season should be a cracker.
These final prac sessions are just to make sure that the cars you choose suit your style and that the field is kept close.

I have nearly finished setting up the new season 2 page and a link will be posted soon.

Cheers, Gastro.

I will post a new link here soon.
Thanks for joining CluB543.

Cheers, Gastro.
