Thanks guys you're too kind. This was/is a great season with a great bunch of guys though and i absolutely can't wait for season 2. I've had a lot of fun and being my first real season, i've learnt abit too. I think at some point, i've had a close battle with just about everyone, couldn't ask for more. Bring on the final race and thanks again guys!

Sounds like this group is full of people who live in the past and are holding on to a game that is beyond its peak.

I came to support velly, arie and rod who joined our Monday night races before its demise.

Thank you for confirming my switch to iracing was a good move, as I no longer have to race against the two of you.

I think if iracing gets cocks off GT6, it's awesome too ! Go and dive bomb some other poor bastards !
Anyway.... back to things we give a **** about.....

Great work everyone. Will get the videos up soon. Race 1 was boring from my camera but a quick review of the race 2 start shows an almost perfect reaction time

Just chuck one on top of the other in Sony Vegas then resize it. Nothing special, just need the software and it takes longer to render (export). Don't think I've done it since the first night I ever raced with you (OCMB Season 5)

Great vision, Ryan ! That BM hauls, doesn't it ? About the only advantage I have over you is in braking it seems, and maybe initial turn in. In terms of getting out of turns, and on the straights, it's frustrating to watch you drive away ! Great racing with you mate - so clean and tidy. Sorry about the belt I gave ya on the way into the pits, but i think you picked up around a second or more as a result. Towards the end I tired of concentrating so hard and lost speed progressively. Must be getting old ! :(

That is a memento I shall cherish as long as I live, thanks Gastro ! I'd like to thank my sponsors, Pepsi and Cadbury, and say again that we have a great bunch of guys here and I hope we can continue and build from this point.
Ryan: Professional driving, mate. Well done. Great rival.
Cole: Showed stupendous pace at Eiger (if that's how you spell the name of the ****** place!), and drove better and better as the season wore on. Great work.
Matt: A champion of the near future, for sure. Great pace, clean driver. Don't get a wheel, you'll hate it and drive slower
Phil: Bloody quick when he was able to hang around. Would have been a championship force I reckon. I hope you can get the Net stuff sorted, mate !
ITR_itchie: Who the heck was that guy ? No complaints, though... just like to know who he is !
That leaves you, Gastro. I reckon you tamed that Vette well, buddy. It can be an unruly beast, and you did well. A great mate and long time GT companion, you are a champ (well, you could be, but you spin too much  )

That is all. I shall drink from my cup secure in the knowledge that I shan't be drinking from it next season. I feel a change in the wind (no, not your wind, G !) :scared:

haha nice shot Gastro! https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/attachments/twin-ring-motegi-road-course_7-jpg.255172/

Funny you mention that about the beemer, Brett. Yes it is quick through the gears but I also thought it's turn-in was one of it's good characteristics - at least it was predictable. Good for stop-turn-go style corners. Due to power oversteer the long-sweeping corners were more of a handful.

Can't believe how quick you were on worse tyres. And because of that I guess I'm still officially a Tier 2 driver :P

Not as good as Van Gisbergen but it'll do.

Here is a chance to have your say...

I would like all of you guys to have some input in to what we do next season, if you want to of course...
This season was a blast, i had a great time... so next season I really would like you guys to direct me
to what you would prefer to do, as concept cars were my idea, and it worked out better than i thought lol

We could even test some more concept cars for next season if that excites anyone.
(some faster ones - XR6 would be happy about that )

But, if you are happy for me to decide, well that is fine also.....

Three options i am considering at the moment.

1 - GT500 cars @ 543hp
2 - Manufacturer Battles @ 543hp ( Ferrari vs Shelby vs something)
3 - a one make tuning series... @ 543hp or 543pp (The Alfa 8c for example)

Either way, let me know guys, cheers... :nervous:

For the record (as per Facebook discussion), I'm happy with GT500 slot cars (on Comfort Hard tyres of course lol), or tuning 543 hp (or 843, if ya wanna !!!)

Hi Lads, i've put mine up on facebook as well . . .

I'm happy to race the GT500 cars if that's what we all pick . . . wouldn't like to lose Ryan as a competitor though . . . What about a one make 543? Say . . . Ferrari 458 or GTO's or something like that . . . I think Gastro has mentioned that he will be up and open on Wed nights for testing etc. Maybe if all drop in and try some different car combos?? But do agree no FF street cars . . . hahahahaa

Here's a thought . . . What about "old skool" muscle cars . . . ???

Cheers
Phil

Good idea...

You buy the cars that u want to test and set to 543hp....

The testing should show if it works or not.
I bought a heap of different cars last night and set them to 543hp to make them easier to find
in an online room... I would suggest doing this before entering rooms as it makes them so much easier to find once the room is set to 543hp....

Cheers

I don't mind what you choose I don't like tuning or testing. Slot cars are ok but I like something that rewards you for smoothness, fwd is ok. Honda Civic R or BRZ/86. Low power that requires skill with sport softs or racing hards. One of the best seasons I had back in gt5 was using beetle race cars stock. Sounds sad but was fun.

I can't afford more than a couple of cars atm

I was barely running at a profit just maintaining my car services from week to week. ;)

Old school tuned muscle car v tuned sports car v [lightly tuned] supercar - sounds cool to me.

I'd be in that. Cobra for me. Wheeeeeee !
