Santa's Joyride
Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic '13
We recently recieved a rather odd letter from a Mr. and Mrs. S. Claus, Christmas Estate #1, North Pole.
Seems the "elves" in the workshop and the "reindeer" had decided the traditional games had gotten a bit stale and so had taken to motorsports for entertainment.
The Claus's had at first been a bit aprehensive, but soon found themselves enamored by the fast pace and thrills offered.
They decided a track day car was called for. Something they could thrash about on weekends, yet would still be a practical vehicle to haul large supplies on a daily basis and make runs to the market in.
Good handling in all types of weather was a must and the car needed to be good for prolonged bouts of off-road driving.
Ol'Harvey Wallbanger of course sent a quick reply saying we would be honored to provide them with a suitable car.
Having recently acquired a new Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic '13 Ol'Harvey set about turning it into a great performer.
The Claus's were so taken by the finished car that they graciously offered to share the specifications for "Santa's Joyride" with everyone.
So from the head Outlaw and the Claus's, Merry Christmas and Happy Motoring!

I'll probably be making the leaf, I need a low pp car for online play. And maybe the Tesla. Will it work with the anniversary edition? I already changed the oil though, so I'd have to add ballast or limit power.

Cool. If the Leaf is still tight on entry change the brakes to 3/5 or even 3/6.

The Tesla is electric, so no oil change can be done, and I guess it could work on the Anniv. cars. But if the PP is too high add weight...might make it better :dopey:

At first, this little truck was like a puppy wanting to rolling over all the time. After some tuning it will still roll over if you hit a chicane with enough force but it is now much better behaved. Sadly, the midget isn't exactly quick by sports car terms. The acceleration to 60mph is just shy of seven seconds and it top speed of 136mph requires a very long downhill. While not a very competitive choice for racing it still is a joy to toss around most track. If you want to run the Midget at a lower performance point rating I recommend just adding lots of ballast. Warning: Excessive use of micro trucks can lead to an addiction. :dopey:

Oh yeah, what was I thinking. I forgot it was electric. I gave all of the anniversary cars (Except this one) oil changes when I first got them. No time to tune it now though, I'm away from home. Will give myself both of them as a virtual Christmas gift tomorrow :P.

@Theo777 I don't normally like Dahaitsu, but I'm going to try that truck tomorrow as well.

Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you had a good one, etc, etc. Anyway, been busy making a few cars that seemed to have been improved in performance when compared to their GT5 counterpart. Gonna post soon, so for now, just listen to this and enjoy the flamenco.

Coming in a few minutes, an ongoing series of tunes, the Knights of the Round Table.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS T.M.Edition '00 "Grun"
Yes I'm using a German name for a Japanese car, but let's leave that aside for now. Named after Grun Squadron of Ace Combat Zero, this Evo VI is every bit as adaptable as the squadron it's named after. This car has proven to be very potent at various tracks, and with its gearbox tuned for acceleration, it'll blitz pretty much anything that is not a GT-R on circuits like Matterhorn.

Mazda RX-7 Bathurst R '01 "Rot"
Much like Rot squadron was to its homeland, the RX-7 is among the many cars that Japan can be proud of. And like the Typhoons they piloted, this RX-7 is a very quick and agile machine that requires a certain level of skill to control. But once that is out of the way, what you have is a very balanced rear wheel drive car that can put up a fight with the likes of the Evo VI on tight tracks.

Jaguar XKR-S '11 Indigo
The oddball of the bunch, a relatively heavy Jag that has a fairly bad power-to-weight ratio compared to the Japanese lightweights. However, what this car loses in outright acceleration, it manages to claw back in terms of cornering speeds. Though 'claw' is a rather crude way of putting it, since like the squadron that it's named after, this XKR-S deals with corners effortlessly while running with the best of them, even with a 400kg handicap.

Got the game yesterday, but I've only played through enough to get the first prize car and about 70,000 credits. I'm hoping to get some more time in today and get some tuning done. 👍

Try out the Wicked child on here. It will get you through a lot of races, without needing to buy a new car. That way, you can save a whole lot of money to spend on cars you really want.

Looking forward to seeing you online and your tunes in the garage here.👍👍

Note get your license tests done as soon as possible to unlock the seasonal races as the current TTs have very good payouts and will give you a couple more cars.:D

Wow amazing car. Keep up the good work!

I have updated three of my tunes. The Golf has a significant change to its handling resulting in much less push in the corners. The Abarth received some refinements for online use and an all new gearbox. The Mazda RX-7 received some changes that should result in better drivability. Thanks to those who have tried my tunes so far and if you have any of these cars be sure to try out the latest settings. You can find links to them on the first page.:)

Thanks, AC  :gtpflag:

Carnography
Firebird Trans Am '78
After completing our "Wicked Child" series and unleashing the "Jägermeister" to hunt down Supercars, Ol'Harvey Wallbanger was looking to relax a bit.
With his recent bout of Disco Fever still echoing through his mind the choice of cars was simple.
Now the Trans Am was seen by many as the last gasp of the soon to be extinct Muscle Cars. With outrageous amounts of power strait from the factory having been sacrificed on the twin alters of the insurance companies and anti-polution laws the auto makers had fallen back on over the top styling to attract the young buyers. The Firebird Trans Am was perhaps the most flamboyant example of flashy looks replacing true performance. Its prominant role in many movies and TV shows had it featuring prominently in many of the young Wallbanger's teen fantasies.
Never mind that in reality it was slow, heavy and handled like a cow in quicksand, it looked COOL!
Well now Ol'Harvey finally gets his chance to live out some of those fantasies, add to the already outrageous looks and along the way give that screaming chicken some performance to match its looks.
So get out those leasure suits, slip on your gold chains and aviators and indulge in a little "Carnography".
Ol'Harvey promises it won't give you hairy palms!:lol:

Congrats XD on the tune of the week. I love the write up.

Thanks Hami was a bit surprised to see it selected but very honored.
@danbojte big thanks for the nomination.👍👍

I'm extremly happy that my tune is providing such enjoyment for others. Hope I can continue to find a bit of tuning magic and provide enjoyable tunes for others in the future.

Love the pics of Clarice. Extra low profile tires riding on the rims in the corners and then taking flight? I love the style here in the Clueless Outlaws Garage.

Man, I sure missed a lot of action over here, I need to get my stuff together and get some work done. :scared: By the way, congrats to AC and Despy for the "Tune of the Week" award, that means at the very least this group of random tuners is doing something right...
