Ill correct you. Grid doesn't.

I have friends who play racing games rarely, and they never complained that Grid game is hard, like GTR 2, or rFactor. It was instant go for them.

You are not noob if you play or like Grid, but tis game was liked by gamers you would described as Sunday players.
I have to disagree with you. I play almost exclusively racing games on a daily basis and it was anything but an instant go when I first played GRID. It is a great game, but the physics are odd and unpredictable and the AI might give you a run for your buck at first. It is a game that takes some time to get used and master completely. Not to menton my 'Sunday player' friend, who had an even bigger issue with the game and getting used to it.

GRID2, however, seems to be (kind of) heading in the opposite direction. Easy to pick up, but hard to master.

HKS racer
Post a video of one of your friends winning on the hardest difficoulty level. They probably just stick to the "noob" level so they can beat the game.

Just search for Harrison101HD on Youtube, he's currently doing a let's play on insane difficulty and he is doing pretty good even when he crashes badly and goes last, he manages to climb positions up and finish first, all within 3 laps. That's noob friendly enough for me to stay away from that game.

BTW, he's also racing with full damage and no assists, (if that game has any).

He ain't a noob racer.... anyone can see that from the videos. Plus, he goes from 5th to 2nd due to a big crash at the last corner on lap 1.

As far as i'm aware, most 'elitist players' prefer to play online in the first place. Even if Single Player isn't difficult(in some people's opinion) why should it bother you?

(I KNOW GRID's servers have been nuked but theoretically speaking.)

Ok, searched this guy and fund this:

14th place at Le Mans.
And look at the car conditions. LOL.

I just washed the crash videos, and it looks great. But I hope the AI mess up more and in more realistic ways because I rarely had a legit crash in Grid 1. Those were always the best.

Happy crashing then.

What was really stupid and insane in Grid was how fast you have to take corners. This is only game that allowed you to take corners so quickly and violently.

You have to forget everything you know about clean racing from Simulations and switch into stupid mode :) in Arcade. Even Ridge Racer offers some decent approach and fun side slides.

This game IS NOT a simulator. It may have the same handling model as Mario Kart but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

Handling looks fine to me, not so drifty as the first game :) (there are no spoilers in that video, it's just some footage of some races from a preview demo)

^ There's way too much dust coming out from AI cars when they run a little too wide over the kerbs. That is supposed to be sintetic, not natural green.
And the tyre smoke on corner exit it shouldn't be there, expecially on high downforce touring cars.
You can have grip loss while on throttle but no all that smoke.

Hopefully with the new handling i wont have to use the ebrake to turn almost all the cars this time.

^ GRID 2 Paradise Revenge :) Do they give you nitro bonus if you crash revenge your opponents?
Anyawy, very good crash physics indeed.

Please never again compare Revenge with this game, NEVER! It hurts my heart. :ill:

Not bad. But looks like it could be fairly easy to roll a car judging by the direct impacts. That's okay and all... until the online community utilizes it...

Well that's just the online community for you, can't really change the abusive and exploitive nature of that.

I'm just saying it's going to be a little bothersome with those sort of people. :P Already met quite a few in the first GRID.

Well, they're kinda everywhere so you're gonna meet them no matter what game you go online with

That's why you don't go to public lobbies, well at least avoid those the first month of release.

Hopefully we could get something going here. The old muscle cars have potential for a classic Trans Am series

If there is enough tracks, then we definitely got something.

Even though it's first appearance in a GRID 2 video is crashing.. Glad to finally see the Cruze! :D:drool:

I was years younger, I wasn't as smart back then. :dopey: But I did frequent private lobbies here and there and got a good friend list going.
