Pc + t500rs

Ffb effects are abit poor, even with hgh gain and hgh ingame settings, most of teh time the wheel is dead and unmving, no ffb is felt but the effect of the center spring, there's no effects to let me know the back end is sliding out and it's a guess to correct the sliding as only ffb i feel is a center spring ( tried with center spring on and off in TCP ).

I do get a few jolts here and there from the wheels vibration unit.

Anybody else have a t500 rs and pc ?

Arcade or sim, does'nt bother me like them both for what they are but i dont like a wheel that does'nt do much.

I got the game on Steam and I like it so far. The story is kind of 'meh' but l like everything else so far. The handling is a little weird to get used to but it feels like it's a decent balance between playability and realism. My only complaint is that I wish you could develop your team more like in the original Grid. I don't like the idea of not getting money for winning races. Fans are ok, but having currency would be better.

The online is good too. It's rare I find a racing game that isn't inhabited by people online who like to play demo derby or having a bunch of whiners that go nuts if you bump their car during a race. I did a pretty good series of races last night and there were plenty of close racing with a ton of bumping, but nothing intentional though and no one complained. It was quite nice.

I'll get back at it some more tonight. I just hope the game isn't too short. I'm already halfway though Europe and I feel like its moving along pretty quick.

I think the game is more on multiplayer this time around. I played fairly late last night and I didn't run across any whiners either. That was a plus.

So... was speaking to VYPA-SQUAD_Ace earlier and he asked me what the coloured icons (impact rating) mean in multiplayer. He also mentioned that a few of you guys where unsure, so here it is:

Impact Rating system – white is best/cleanest, and then goes through green, yellow (neutral – where each player starts), orange, and red.

I need to start adding you guys, all the online lobbies are filled with non clean drivers who just crash into me at the start.

Career mode seems a bit repetative. Dude, where is my $$$ for winning?

Cars handle good. If you want to drift you can, if you want to grip, you can also. Online seems a bit more of a blast, as long as everyone acts accordingly.

The loss of some good tracks like Bathurst is a minus. Grid was the only sim that had it, and I spent hours on it. Monaco is a good addition. All in all, Grid is better, IMO anyway, but stll having fun.

Just bought this game on the Store.

I would like to see a lot of "white" and maybe a few "green" players in lobbies...and avoid as many "red" or "orange" ones as possible (I guess that would be the attitude of must of us).

EDIT: Just popped in the game, and on the 300ZX challenge, got a time of 57.065.
I challenge you to beat this.

Well I was racing with white and green players all day yesterday. Would be interesting to see the players' colors in a few days.

Is this game worth buying?

I think if it's a true codemasters game, it's fun enough and the controls are decent enough. A game worth buying if you can find it fo 10 or 15 bucks. definitely not worth full price.

The physics of the game while not bad are not worked out well either. It's just playable, in true codemasters fashion.

Yeah, go ahead. I don't mind. My brother is playing Madden right now.

I don't have mine yet, live in England so I'm assuming its a later release here but I got an email from play.com at around 10am saying they shipped it, so fingers crossed it'll be here tomorrow and I wont have to wait till Friday.

That's fine. I have a friend in the UK that's waiting to get his copy also.

I have to disagree with you. Nfs:shift2U was "just playable". This game is more than that. It could use more tracks. A few more things here and there. But, overall much better than you say IMO.

The cars on that game was "just playable".. unless you tuned those cars "just right"..

I thought Shift 2 was unplayable, especially with my DFGT.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to play Grid 2. But I'll have to wait pretty much until the 31st May, because I pre-ordered it off Steam. But at least I will have all DLCs.👍

You are killing me. That's one of my favorite tracks!!!! Does the hotel change colors like in the F1 games? Let me guess they even have Mount Panarama (Bathurst)? My other favorite track.
Not having an interior view still killed this game for me.

The hotel does change colors.. I wrecked so many times yesterday looking at it.. I don't think Bathurst is on the game, yet.
