The Nismo GT-RS arent supercars
That can be debated though, they have supercar-like power (especially the R-Tune) and there is one more thing too...

Lamborghini Diablo is a supercar, I think we all agree on that. But, it can be beaten in acceleration even by a stock GT-R as the Skyline is pulling away while the Diablo struggles for grip. And the stock model only has around 300 bhp, whereas the tuned versions boast power figures from 400 to almost 500 bhp.

So, they may not be supercars, but they can certainly go like supercars. ;)

(now waiting for a certain Englishman from Leicesterhire to come here and tell his opinion, I'm sure it will happen)

Yep, I'm going to do a Japanese sports car comparison soon (NSX'S Imprezas etc)

Actually, it depends a lot on your definition of 'Supercar'.

There's plenty of debate around what is and what isn't a supercar, but the generally accepted boundary as far as top speed is concerned is if the car could reach a standard 155mph speed limiter, then it is fast enough in a straight line to be classed as a supercar. And any untuned Skyline GT-R from R32-series onwards has no trouble with that.

Of course, this isn't the only test you've got to pass before you get your supercar mortar-board. You have to be able to deal with corners as well (Perhaps Corvettes aren't supercars after all?), and with full reactive 4WD dealt out by the ATTESA-ETS, any untuned Skyline GT-R from R32-series onwards is capable of careful and steady race-car-style understeer or controlled oversteer.

Now that the dynamics part has been discussed, we should move to body styling. It's commonly agreed that a supercar must have only two doors, meaning more often than not it will be coupe style bodywork. And all Skyline GT-Rs from R32-series onwards have only two doors to the cockpit.

There seems to be a recurring phrase above there, so I think it's quite safe to say that all Skyline GT-Rs from R32-series onwards are, in fact, supercars.

I don't know if anyone thought about this, but wouldn't a direct comparison how good cars fare against each other be much more significant if people who know "their" drivetrain-layout well would duke it out?

Like, Driver A being a MH-Fanatic, Driver B fond of M-4WD, Driver C a F-4WD pro and Driver D the master of FH-cars.

Or something like that...
Since I have noticed that people do better with certain layouts than they do with the other ones ....
