We're lucky Danny wasn't a genius physicist studying quantum mechanics, otherwise it would've been "Danny's Dik-Dik" instead of Schrödinger's Cat.

I had to tell a couple of friends yesterday that I was officially no longer a supporter of Celtic FC, and am now a Hearts fan... I used to go to Celtic games when I lived in Glasgow many years ago, but since then I have rarely been back, and ironically, now that I live in Glasgow again, I feel no connection to the team any more. I now go to Hearts games with my mates, and the atmosphere is alot more "friendly", plus the games are unpredictable - unlike Celtic who practically always win in the SPL - so the games are more exciting..

As a nice touch, a mate of mine bought be a Hearts scarf to make it "official" and when my Celtic supporting mates turned up, there was no hiding it... I have to say, they took it well, and I got the feeling they were a little disappointed, but also got the feeling that they were thinking, "Good luck with that!"...

At least you didnt convert to Rangers...
That would have had the potential to turn into something nasty :nervous:

I watch Peppa Pig when nothing else is on, and I'm nowhere near the day my voice breaks.
And I've been 11 for 4 months. I feel ashamed.

Don't worry, when you start having little kids running around when you're older you'll end up watching Fireman Sam and enjoying it...

I was watching Teletubbies in Highschool because of my teacher and

Though with my other nephew, somehow he watches Scary movies and Disney favorites.

My kids have never watched Barney or Teletubbies (at least not with me around) but they have seen 5 of the 6 Star Wars (6 of 7 if you count Clone Wars). They'll have to wait a bit for Episode III. :D

Side note - I borrowed all six episodes from a co-worker and my 5 year old said that his DVD versions were better than my VHS. I've got him right where I want him... :sly:

Thing is Fireman Sam is watchable, Barney/Teletubbies isn't, it's pap. At least Fireman Sam has some credibility as a TV show.

I have all three original films on DVD (transferred from the official LD release prior to the 'updated' versions)... so unless he only has the newer versions, then he may have you right where he wants you. ;)

Some friends of mine who have access to some pretty impressive video editing equipment have toyed around with making their own "original cut" by editing the latest versions to cut out the updated changes, and edit back in the original scenes from the LD release... thus ideally resulting in the best of both worlds... the better video and audio quality of the recent release without all the visual updates. To me, that's a lot of effort... not to mention legal problems I personally wouldn't want to hassle with. :nervous:

Mine.

His, his, his and his.

In short - yes, all the newer versions. Nonetheless, the DVD's are leaps and bounds better than mine. Hell, just going from 1.33:1 to 2.35:1 makes it better! At least now I can read the scrolling text at the beginning before it's too small to read.

I understand now... I misinterpreted your comment about having him right where you want him as meaning you had the original versions of the first three Star Wars films, that while on VHS would still be arguably better by a lot of Star Wars and film purist fans as being far superior to the pretty to look at updated "official" versions on DVD. :)

With that side note complete... let me quietly back away before anyone notices me, and before anyone bring up the question... who shot first? Greedo or Han? ;)

Every once in a while I have a dream/nightmare that a venomous spider is on me (normally my face or arms) while I'm sleeping. I normally go mental in a panick like state of sleep trying to get it off before I semi-wake up, turn on my light, look around, thinking I got it off when I can't see it and go back to sleep. I even pulled a muscle in my leg in a panick state apparently trying to remove a non-existent spider the other night.

It's wierd, it's the only dream I ever have reoccur, and it's always in the presence of my room as though it's truly real. Could I have a sub-conscious arachnophobia? I don't think I have any real phobias............

Thats happened to me once years ago, I flinched to get it off (as I slept) and bashed my head on the metal bed head.

Doesn't reoccur though.

Mmmm, I'm not really keeping count but it must have happened at least 5-10 times by now in the past couple years. At least I'm not having these dreams every night or every week.

If Heath Ledger was still alive, I'd recut every Star Wars movie to put him in Hayden Christiansen's place.

Confession: I still have my Ep.III movie ticket stub in my wallet signed by Director of Animation Rob Coleman.

I've started smoking. Although not frequent, I feel I am controlling myself relatively well.

Probably not helped by a purchase of...

Didn't really want to put it in the purchase thread, not really something to show off.

To be completely honest with you though, I never imagined cigarettes tasting so different, just assumed they'd all be the same.

Right, I'm growing a pair of bollocks and giving my pack (only 5 gone) to someone tomorrow. I don't want to get into this **** and if I stop now I think I can stop before I need the nicotine fix on a regular basis. Of course a lot of my friends still smoke, but there is a difference between that and inhaling it from my own.

I was going to say mate, it 'aint good. I hope you can give them up succesfully, and i you need to talk to anyone about it we are all here :)

*snip*, but there is a difference between that and inhaling it from my own.
Is there? I heard that inhaling cigaret(te) smoke (from someone elses cigaret(te)) is as bad as smoking a cigaret(te) yourself.

Inhaling small amounts of somebody else's smoke isn't good for you...but it's nowhere near as bad as directly inhaling the smoke and then filtering it though your lungs.

MP has got it right, my angle of saying it was more about the "feel" of smoking your own and inhaling second hand smoke is different. Inhaling someone elses smoke can make you want your own, it can drive the nicotine craving.

Right now, I've got the munchies. I've had:

Cheese and Onion Toastie
A ham salad
Bowl of Cornish Ice Cream
Rhubarb Crumble with custard

Since 12 (3hr35 ago).

I'm hungry again.

Fruit time me thinks.

I seem to have a problem with trusting friends given a dodgy past with numerous other so-called friends.

I have a problem trusting anyone, I believe the only person you can have total trust in is yourself.

What if you are bi-polar?

I definitely needed my morning smoke today, but resisted. Had a headache all day, but I'm fine now. Thanks to 2 bottles of Coke.
