Good racing all round, and even with some of our regulars not here this Friday, the addition of our new driver - buraspo - made it a good event none the less.
Its looking like buraspo is one to watch! Very pleased he 'found' out group and decided to enter....hope its what he was expecting and it proves that its worth anyone having a go one Friday to see what they think. So if there is anyone out there who has been watching what goes on in here while on GTP, come along and join in like buraspo has done 👍
One matter to address though (it could have been sorted on the night) if anyone does take someone off or gains an advantage through accident by knocking another driver off, all I ask is to allow that driver back into position. I know sometimes it can't be helped and we don't have any issues with anyone's driving ability, not after this length of time we've been running the TRIDENT GT, but on lap 5 of race 2, there was an accident between Barnezy318 and stanepoke....now having watched the replay from multiple angles it appears as if Barnezy318 side-swipes stanepoke (no other explanation as they were on a straight section) this caused stanepoke to veer off and onto the grass which effected his cornering ability at the next turn sending him into the opposite barrier, damaging his front left suspension. If Barnezy318 has slowed to allow stanepoke to regain his position rather than trying to keep race speed, I think the following crash would have been avoided.
With this in mind (and the previous event around Spa with the corner cutting and Barnezy318 causing jamesybograt and R063R_GL4560W to go off - see highlights) I need to add a penalty to Barnezy318's points.
So to remind everyone - we 99.9% always have clean and fast races, and I only add penalties to even out the rewards, otherwise there is no reason to try to create a clean racing enviroment. So if in future we end up having accidents which you know has benefitted you, please in the interests of fairness, just pull over and let your fellow racer back into position
Above all else, we all know its not done on purpose
