Well there goes my chance of catching jamesy in the championship i think :grumpy:

I just watched the replay from the unofficial race that ade hosted on friday, i think it might be best if we use penalties for this track, Third reign was cutting a lot of corners after the pitstops when he was running on his own 👎👎👎

You've been a busy boy if you've set all those cars up for racing! So how do we know what the performance of each car is? Will it be PP based?

pp at the minute but will do 10 laps of a sample track to set the final settings of each car ,so they can lap the same.

still working on the regulations but it looks like it will run victory ballast to even the wins up (with slower runners getting a boost )

this is still a work in progress so all input will be considered.

I'm right into GT3 after watching a few races this season so looking forward to this.

The only thing I was concerned about doing something like this in GT was getting the same balance as the real sport with cars that have different power/weight yet still remain competitive. It wouldn't be fun if you know the secret and choose the one car that can't be beaten.

Other than that it is good to watch replays of competitive races with a mixed grid, just like what I tried with the first 2 seasons of the Trident. Not that there was anything wrong with the mixed field! I just wanted a more structured series, as you know it's easier on the setting up.

Still we can't all run every possibility of motorsport so it's good you're thinking of this as in a way, it's a mixed grid but we'll still only be using one car for the season which is why this should work brilliantly.

One question on cars...what about the R8, 458, Gallardo or the SLS? All current GT3 cars :)
 
oh i do want a 458 series some time, that car is mighty fun.

From that list i would assume the ISF and M3 to be quickest with the NSX doing good as well.

One question on cars...what about the R8, 458, Gallardo or the SLS? All current GT3 cars :)

the ISF and M3 as the fastest mmm i don't know about that my guess is the RUF or the FERRARI :)
but with my testing (to be done yet)all the cars will be able to lap at the same pace.

? R8= 4x4 to much grip, 458= sooo fast its unfair,Gallardo=4x4,SLS to powerfull but will look into adding and removing some cars as the testing goes on (looking to start series in about 6 weeks)

Shame about the cars I mentioned, is there no way limitations could be added? Use bhp/weight instead of PP?

I think in the real GT3 4WD is disabled, something we can't fully do other than using an LSD/AYC combo?

I'm more than happy to do your 'graphics' for your thread 👍 just let me know what you need/would like :)

So how will it work? The colours are already chosen too?

it's quite simple realy ,you pick a country and then a colour the cars are painted in BLACK,WHITE,RED,BLUE.
so no one can say i wanted that one when someone else picks it:)

i was thinking of doing a spot race to get the picking order sorted out:idea:

as for the four cars you like (MMM?? R8,458,Esprit,Mclaren)
i think ADE will be sad there is ne evora but the Esprit used to be in GT3.
does anyone know if there is a road going Lambo Diablo in the UCD.??

Nice race, Omnius, I really enjoyed it. Apart from the night time! :P
After my only pit stop at the end of lap 10, I found myself behind Rohnny (I think) and in the 4th straight of the lap, I was too far to overtake safely and too close for comfort at the same time. I put the foot on the brakes and avoided him but put a wheel on the grass and span, wasting some precious time.
For 2 laps (17 and 18) I was in a brilliant fight with Mark but my tyres were very probably older than his and I lost ground in lap 19. I was lucky he ran out of fuel but the same misfortune almost happened to me as I did the last fifth of the last lap in the red...

Great fun! I'll come back for more. Not every week (because I can't) but I'll come back. :)
 
Great race, and I tried really hard, but once it got really dark, I was struggling. I kept missing turns and braking points because I couldnt see. Maybe I have my screen setting too dark, or I should go to spec savers. Great to see WarriusZero racing tonight, hopefully see you back at Core again soon. Well done Geordie for the win, and everyone else. Trotter done superb. That is all.
