SEASON 4 UPDATE...

As you all know the first race of the season will be Monza (Championship) following the 5 season deal I struck to make it the Official CGT Opener :sly:

What I can now add is (as we are on the cusp of TIII) for Season 4, there will be a change around for the NPS races, the Road NPS tracks will now feature in the Club Racing, and the Circuit NPS tracks will be a part of the Championship races.

More on Season 4 soon 👍

I'll be running a practice session on Thursday night from 8pm for anyone to get a feel of the track/competition

Just thought I'd throw in a suggestion for next season's car, the TVR Tuscan Speed Six RM is a fantastic car and its a very stable car even when fully upgraded to over 500+hp like mine.

I hope you don't think of this as a bit rude I just was driving it earlier and thought I'd make its case. Also no one really talks about it so it could be a fun new car for some people 👍

NO!NO!NO!......

it is under-steer city really hard to make them go fast without it.
did a race series with it before and it was awful ,took to much set-up time ..

:lol: Ok Ok ha fair enough although I have to say mine has pretty decent handling and iv barely tuned it.

But like I said its just a suggestion and theres no point in using a car everyone doesn't agree on 👍

i agree it would be ok for me but the others that don't tune much would find it difficult
 
I was quite surprised to see cars being discussed for Season 4 :) Not that I have a problem with that

I know some cars can make or break a championship as some can be pigs to tune let alone race but like the ones I chose for S3, I will have tested them to make sure they are fun to race for a long period, but also that they are cars that will give the season a bit of an edge, without making it too easy or hard.

The biggest challenge is to promote close racing, and its not always about big BHP's as this can unbalance the field as not everyone can control or tune cars at the 'mental' end of the power range. :eek:

As for discussing cars, my only concern is if a car is discussed and the general consensus is that it is a poor car to use and I've already chosen it...it's either back to the drawing board or stick with it and run the risk of alienating the regulars in the CORE GT :indiff:

....oh and yes, I've sort of already got the cars ready for Season 4 :lol:

well after what was for me a total nightmare on friday i will really have to try and put it right this week, so i'm in !

1st race on friday was just awful, had an incident with jamesy and dowlin going into the 1st corner, came out of the slipstream of both of them and misjudged my speed at the braking zone, apologies to both although i dont think it affected any of their final positions, if anything it affected me more !
i then got a wee nudge from dowlin going into the second corner ( racing incident only and not dowlins fault ) on the very next lap that sent me into a mega spin and totally wrecked my tyres and i lost all hope of any decent result ( had to pit on lap 9 or something stupid like that ) decided that with such a short track with many perils it was better to retire than get in anyones way as i was being lapped !


2nd race started with me not getting a grid position ?, so i started last, made my way up to 2nd, made a small error that dropped me to 5th then got collected up in bazs mega crash that totalled my front end, i might have imagined it but i seemed to be very low on power after the incident and my race was run.. lol


roll on friday, i need redemption lol ( probobly jinxed myself now !)

SEASON 4 UPDATE - Part II

Following on from an earlier post, I'm 99.9% sure of the cars/tuning for S4.

I'm not going to do the full reveal until we've finshed S3, but what I will say is my best time in the Championship car around Monza is a low 1:51 and the Club Racing car has a lower BHP to this season's Club Racer :sly:

The power range between the 2 cars for S4 are wider apart than we are using currently, my thinking was two-fold. Club Racing should be even closer as the power (although not too low) should allow for less durational errors while racing, and having a larger BHP makes the Championship feel suitably different, from the calm of CR :D

Time will tell I suppose :scared:

I'm in for Friday, I'm gonna have to light a candle for the connection god this time around.
 
so you lucky sods (those who get to race tonight)
managed to get a little spare time to myself today,so did a race .
just to see how i would have went tonight(i like this track by the way).
did the full race online and was pleasantly surprised at the result.
best lap .. 4:18.7
race time .. 1.28:41.7
only had to pit once
and had no draft down the big straights so i think with a little luck it would have been even quicker in the race tonight..:)

let me know if you can the best lap time and the race time....
 
That is a quick lap time jamesy, my best is a 4.22.xx which i set on wednesday in my first practice, i was doing mainly long runs tho. im getting about 7 laps out of the tyres could get more laps but after 7 im losing about 5sec a lap, so its time to change imo. i'll probably be doing 2 stops, two 7lap stints and 1 6lap stint, third and buraspo looked pretty good last night in practice could be a close race lads 👍

I'm hoping to close that gap tonight in the title race tho jamesy, try and make it a close finish to final part of the season 👍:)

...again many appologies for last night everyone! There was a DSLAM prob at my local exchange :mad:

*Hopefully* all will be sorted by next Friday and we can get back to some racing!
 
Done some Wheel practicing on the current Spa time trial. Currently ranked 1309 with the 787B @1:58.956. That was a whole 4 secs better than my best DS3 try o.O

I guess I'm ready for some real Wheel racing now. Gonna try it out this Friday.

...then again, with how good your performance is anyway, do you really need to be doing everything 4 seconds faster! :scared:
