Great race tonight guy's :D

Hope I gave the LMP guy's enough space at the right time, pretty sure I was OK but, believe it or not that was my 1st ever multi class car race :D

Little of the usual PD fail track glitches and 1 mistake from me, but most importantly I enjoyed myself and had some awesome battles with quite a few drivers and couldn't fault any of them.

Race not over yet though and can't wait to see what happens tomorrow :D

Is tomorrow being live streamed?

You would have had first place to start from in gte but for some reason the only major issue I had through out the entire race happened with about 3 laps to go :/

..... And come very close to finishing 3rd :ouch: :lol:
 
The GTE field was pretty close today from what I saw. Memto's off with 2 laps to go must have sucked, he had a 15-20 second lead at that moment and was sitting pretty, shows how much one error can cost you.


Will admit the gap was bigger than expected considering this track doesn't suit the 908 as much thanks to it's top speed deficit, Le Mans is going to be tricky. Quali was weird as I had done times 0.5 quicker on Friday but it faded quite badly but just about pipped FRT for the extra point. In the race I noticed chozza was going pretty quick so for the last stint I tried to get fastest lap off him but came short by 0.2 even though in practice I was doing time capable of beating it, may partially be down to the engine being down on power compared to earlier in the race.

Also heard of Bathurst being really unstable online in terms of connection issues from ToCA.

Tip for room 2: make sure you start the race with everyone on track rather than just entering the event from the lobby menu. we were having lots of issues with black screens and loading bars until someone suggested we all go to track first which seemed to work much better.

Fantastic race guys ;) I had an off in corner 1 about half way throu the race and 2 wheels on the left flat, I lost over 60sec going to the pits :) othe that that few miner offs,,, so if i would avoid doing that it wouldent be so easy for you memto ;) Great fight i realy enjoyd it ;)
 
After watching the F1, I can't help but think Albert Park would be pretty awesome in GT6 for WEC. Some tough sections for lappery, sweeping corners, etc.

PD did supposedly have another Aussie-related surprise in the pipeline. If it isn't a licence for the V8's, I want Albert Park.
 
Will some of the guys in GT please learn to stick to the racing line, the rule is put in place for a reason. The amount of time I had to swerve, brake or in some instances have a crash was because people aren't staying on line when it's our job to find our way around you.
 
I really should have pushed earlier in the race. I pushed at the end and got lacklustre times with a dying engine(compared to FP doing mid 30s) if I had pushed harder a 1:30.4 could have been on the cards. Anyway it's just 1 point that we lost. :) besides memto could take it.
 
While that may be true, immortal is probably the fastest person on gran turismo which probably means even we can't beat him(unless something freaky happens). But anyway we'll find out soon enough.
 
Just before I took the chance to do a race run for Laguna Seca I took some photos...of myself. :) Total combined laps in the 908 is 6430 miles.

I know I were one of those, real sorry Chozza. I really had problems with traffic here. At first I was just gonna stick to my racing line but noticed when Nin lapped me the first time that the lmp's didn't think the same way. Biggest mistake I did was probably watching the rear view mirror too much because when I went to my side and saw the car behind me also go to that side I got insecure and just didn't go to any side and got in the way. Think I got the hang of it towards the end though. (all this happens in a split second of course so a moments hesitation can be devastating)
 
I just hate to being in other peoples way. :P I think we should have more race practise in the next wednesday practise and not so much ordinary practise, I can do that on my own time. Those wednesdays races are the only chance to practise in traffic. :P
