BUT this is the best looking C7 I've seen yet:

...even if it is just a render.

LOL at any dumbass that actually buys one of these kits. 4-figure horsepower from the C7 will be done for under $20,000 by far & without any of the headaches associated with dealing with John.

Haha, I was gonna say.... Ridiculous prices from a ridiculous company....

You know, that (Houston's own) Hennessey C7 actually does look nice. And normally, I'm not someone who likes white-colored cars. That does look VERY nice to me. Me gusta.

Hennesscrew. Overpriced and put together with duct tape.

I do like that red with black accents/wheels.

I guess I'm the ignorant one. Whys Hennessey so bad? Honest question never done much research on his work besides announcements like these.

He's really screwed people over in the past. Horror stories of him using customer cars as parts-cars for other projects, etc, etc. I've heard enough to never do business with the guy.

Oh wow. Well id probably not have any work done with him anyway, too far away.

I'm curious to know what kind of modifications GM will be doing on the car to make the Corvette "more acceptable" in Europe. Particularly when it was developed as a world-class car already.

In addition to John doing a piss-poor job of communicating with the public when these stories come up.

Quite a few forums out there (Viper Alley had some notoriously good threads) where John went on insulting & swear-filled replies to people's criticism.

How professional...

I presume you can see what I mean though - since the C4, Corvettes have largely evolved in their details, rather than their overall shape. That pic you posted quite nicely illustrates it.

I think, on balance, I still prefer the C6 to the C7. But I'd not say no to a yellow C7...

I don't see it, to be honest.

People still don't get it though, and people think these cars will actually be great yet the guy who owns the company is a nutcase with little to no morals. I hate seeing any GM product being talked about (any product in general) that John is ready to get his hands on.

Really? The lineage from C1 to C4 was almost untraceable visually, but from C4 onwards the basic proportions of the car have been more or less identical.

The C5 was largely a curvier C4. The C6 was a tauter C5. The C7 is a much edgier C6. I can't make you see it obviously but to me it's pretty clear :)

I agree C4 and up have had the same basic shape overall, just varied smoothness or sharpness in its lines.

I see what you are saying overall shape wise, the reason I was at a loss was it seemed you were saying (to me) the C7 looks more like a C4. However, you repeated what I was saying which was a more precise than general which is what I thought you were getting at. Anyways I got you now.

In terms of differing design, the C2 and C3 had some design similarities. Compare the C1 to the C2, and C3 to C4 though and you will have a hard time.

Are the rear tires on the C7 narrower than its predecessor?

What tires are on it?

P245/40ZR18 (93Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP
P285/35ZR19 (99Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

2014 Chevrolet Corvette with Z51 Performance Package
P245/35ZR19 (89Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP
P285/30ZR20 (95Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

I'm pretty sure they are the same size as the base model C6

Then surely those are narrower than the ZO6 and ZR1, right? They don't look as bonkers and meaty in this video as they usually do in person.

The tires do seem skinny on this.

Yes the Z06 and ZR1 have wider tires than the base models.

I sat in a C7 about a week ago, and it's not bad. The interior quality is great, you'd never know it's a Chevrolet. Alcantara headliner, nice leather, and the 7 speed manual seems pretty nice. However, it is a bit cramped inside, despite being nicely sized on the outside.

Now, all they need is proper DOHC motor and modern suspension and they'd get my money. They already nailed the looks. Personally I think they really should do homage to the C1 with a 6-cyl version..

Proper suspension? Hahahaha. This generation of MRC is more advanced than Ferrari's to put it in simple terms.
