Is that...yours? The colour combo is amazing.

I totally agree with you Beeblebrox. The GT-R is his and he said that he ordered one so i think its his. Awesome color with C7! I think it suits it very well.

That bad RACECAR? It's growing on me a little, if it shows up in DTM that's it. Throw in the towel the fight is over, down goes CHEVY!!

I drove one today at none other than a Ride and Drive event here in Texas. Not sure which one the accident happened at. I can get a few pictures up if anyone is interested. I was a bit rushed in the experience.
If you were at the State Fair, that's the one the accident happened at.

Its not even remotely close to looking like a Super GT under next year's DTM Spec or this year's spec. Just seems like someone threw together random over-the-top photoshop bits and called it "Super GT".

Is that a spec V or aftermarket wheels?
Not to keen on the colour though but props on the duo, envy you

its a Black Edition so it comes with the SpecV wheels

the cyber gray is pretty cool on with all the black accents. we were debating on black but I thought it would loose alot of that contrast against the wheels ect... I didnt realize until out in the sun today but it has a lot of blue metal flake in it

Congrats!!

I was shocked to see one of these for the first time in person Saturday. It was driving by in the opposite direction going about 30mph. They look insane driving down the road. Pics do no justice at all for these cars. The daytime running lights look so sick lit up going down the road. So angry and evil looking. In a good way.

I still maintain that this car would look fantastic if it weren't for the Deathscythe vents.

I wonder how the Gen V engine fends off carbon buildup that plagues DI engines. Feed her only the best.

That color combination is perfect on the C7. Just wow. Can't wait to see them on the Dutch roads.

Opinion? I'd like to hear your thoughts on how it compares to the GT-R. While they are quite different paradigms in how to go fast, they both do go fast, and they are relatively similarly priced, so there is definitely substance to the comparison.

After I get it broken in an do say an autocross I will be able to really assess it...but yeah some initial thoughts after just 140 miles? sure

first of all i for got how different the seating position is vs the GTR.. in the C7 you are very low and the fenders sort of swallow you where in the GTR even though its low its not as much of that cockpit feel. Our car is a 6 Speed Automatic and after only driving a DCT for the last 5 years its just not comparable. In a straight line the Auto C7 is supposed to be faster than the manual. After some backroad driving the Auto is fine it gets the job done but there is none of the direct snap feel you get from the DCT when shifting. It does rev match on downshift with is a nice touch.

the NPP exhaust is really a highlight of the car.. from the video you can see the difference it makes between the open and shut valves. The driving segment had too much wind noise but the car in track mode set to the most aggressive exhaust tune is the best part of the car so far.

The interior is literally night and day better than the C6. The digital dash I dont think is a gimmick and actually is one of the few areas it makes the GTR feel a little dated.

price wise this car was around 73K( a well equipped C7 can be had for 60K or less though and the GTR was 98K ( the next year it took a 10K price increase for the same car)

the styling is subjective so I cant really say on that as im super GTR biased. thats why im on this site is I literally grew up on Gran Turismo skylines and GTRs.

I will have some more thoughts once it gets broken in and i take it to the drag strip or the AutoX. performance wise no its not on the GTR level but its an accomplishment of its own to be a 991 S fighter for the price

Saw a blue one today with the black rims, my first one close up that wasn't a test bed car with the time warp looking livery to hide it's true looks. Gotta say it was quite nice up close, love the way you can see the cat's in the back and the overall shape more so than before. Sound was pure gold. My only issue is the rear bumper, it looks kinda of tacky when it's just black and not a carbon bumper but painted. Seems to much of the late 90s early 2000s styling when the rest looks highly modern.

I'd say I will easily take a C4 before the C5 or C6. My order of favorites as far is the most recent 4 is C4, C7, C6, C5.

Finally got to test it out at Autocross

I was super impressed with it on a tight course even though this was my first time driving a pure RWD car in about 6 years. I tried all the different Performance Traction Modes on each run and ended up in full race mode which was good.. had the back end kick out a bit but it only took tiny corrections. I have to say the best part on a course like this was the brakes! They were great and let you enter the turn deep before you scrubbed off speed. I really enjoyed it and I ended up doing much better than I expected. the transition from GTR was pretty easy and i bet the GTR would have been maybe less than a second faster if that today on this particular course

Did they shrink the cabin down for this car? It's like getting into a test tube with a rocket engine and a passenger seat. I'm so glad the one at the auto show was a targa top. I would've smashed my head otherwise. I don't think I could fit in this car with the roof on, and I'd certainly not be able to drive with a helmet on.

That's a bummer... but at least the engine rocks.

Nope. Lowest and furthest back it could go.

Perhaps there is a lower position achievable with the seat not set at the rear limit. I did not check this.

I found the cabin fairly tight myself when I sat in it in July, and I'm 5' 8". Headroom wasn't and issue, but the centre console and door were high and close together.
