The previous car ran 7:22. I'd honestly say 7 minutes dead. It's a long, long track, and if that transmission is picking up time on every shift, I don't think 7 minutes is unreasonable. I'm guessing the tires will be special for the car, too, and judging by past precedent, better than ever yet again.

There is a Nurburgring graphic behind the Z06 in camouflage on the stage next to the C7.R under a sheet. Although 7min flat seems a bit fast. I'm guessing more like 7:08-7:10

The C7R looks awesome! Loving the new Jake logo. The fact that I'm at work right now building Z06 clutch housings and can't watch the live reveal is making me sad.....

I'm getting a bit tired of the yellow, though. But man, the C7R looks awesome nevertheless.

I agree. Not a huge fan of yellow but at least it is not white and yes the design does look really awesome!! With all the colors in the world I just cant comprehend white vehicles at all. For those confused, there are other pics out there showing a white ZO6.

I'm betting a 7 foot tall curly haired Englishman hosting a popular TV show, whose opinion every 15 year old in the world takes for gospel, will have a lot of criticism regarding the plexiglas part of the rear spoiler.

And clear tail lights, which I personally like for obvious reasons. Regardless, Jeremy will more than likely love the C7 despite a few complaints.

I like the yellow, personally, cause it's sort of a nod to the "golden" bowtie without actually being gold which I find tacky and snobbish. It also keeps in line with past racing models and maintains that identifying look.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the white paint though! When I see a white car it just looks bland and incomplete to me. The only time white works for me is when it goes along with some nice racing stripes or some other colored trim/detail accent.

It's weird I've NEVER liked Corvettes in white. Until the C7. I think it looks great, especially with the contrasting optional black side mirrors, rear spoiler, and wheels.

Regarding the 8 speed automatic: "In fact, the 8L90’s controller analyzes and executes commands 160 times per second, and wide-open throttle upshifts are executed up to eight-hundredths of a second quicker than those of the dual-clutch transmission offered in the Porsche 911.“There’s no trade-off in drivability with the new 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission – it was designed to deliver performance on par with dual-clutch designs, but without sacrificing refinement,” said Bill Goodrich, assistant chief engineer for eight-speed automatic transmissions. “It is also the highest-capacity automatic transmission ever offered in a Chevrolet car.”

If there is anyone who knows how to do an automatic right, its GM. I'm looking forward to seeing that unit proliferate into other vehicles over the next year or so.

Are those numbers subject to change because if I remember correct GM/Chevy announced the C6 ZR1 preproduction specs and they were underrated.

I will admit white is starting to grow on me, a little, on sports cars / supercars, but on daily drivers it looks so lame and uninspired IMHO.

I'd give it a +/- 5 on both figures, but it's probably pretty close to what the SAE will rate it at howevermany months from now.

Black wheels on that silver C7 Z06 would be so sick! The silver wheels actually look out of place on that. Hurry someone chop some black wheels onto the silver version.

I have to admit the yellow ZO6 is growing on me quite fast. So stunning. I really liked the C6 Z06 a lot but dang this C7 Z06 is just amazing. Cant wait to see one in blue.:drool::drool:

I just wish the interior looked a bit different than the regular C7. You know, even better seats, alcantara and suede, a different steering wheel, titanium accents here and there... Don't go all Pagani on it, but make it feel like it's different from a Z51, since you can't see that splitter from the inside.

Agree. I'd like even more aggressive seats, some other trim choices, and a non round steering wheel (flat at the bottom). Simple enough to keep cost down but adding a different and more aggressive feel/style. But overall I have no complaints, I'm in love with the car. I even love the clear taillights. Only thing I'd add is a rear diffuser. I'd even like the option for the Jake logo on the hood like the C7.R has. Or even an option for that part of the hood to be paint color matched and not black. I'm getting carried away I think.
