There is a toilet paper company in South Australia and they are working 24/7 now, because there is a demand for toilet paper.
People should realise this COVID-19 virus does not effect your rear end, it effects your Lungs.
Far-sighted marketing plan. You know what happens when we're pretty scared, there's probably going to be toilet paper shortage worldwide, over the next few weeks, and months.
Look, I'm not completely sure that I'm joking. :)

Latest fake news, that is spread around wechat is that boiling 8 cloves of garlic in water and drinking it has been proven by chinese doctors to cure the Corona virus.:banghead:

Masses are ignorent. If I did my best and spread a false statement that, "experts say my restaurants serves the only soup that has been proven to make people resistant to covid-19", I would be sold out for weeks.

I mean...at that point you'll reek of garlic and people will stay away from you. Because people will stay away from you, you're less likely to encounter the virus. It should be obvious that I'm employing sarcasm here. Also, vampire protection.

And also likely looking at huge fines and other legal problems.

If garlic cured COVID-19 then there is no chance Italy would be infected.

Yes - because attracting ignorant masses to your place of business is a great idea during a pandemic.

I hope that garlic thing is true, because that means I'm pretty safe. I'm also testing the hypothesis that rosé wine and Dominos pizza works too... so far, so good 👍

I am also wondering what toiletpaper has to do with a Flue virus? Do australian use toiletpaper differently over there?

I didn't know you had Walmart in Australia.

"Stomach flu" (gastroenteritis) is rather common, so I'm guessing people assume the actual flu has diarrhea as a symptom as well.

This is real, some guy selling Toilet paper for highly inflated prices on the side of the road($2 for a roll, $70 for a pack).

Australia is the stupidest country on earth at this moment.

I'm pretty sure that the toilet paper hoarding has become a thing because people see other people hoarding it. What other rational explanation could there be? Same with bottled water.

Folks, I don't think I can wait 23,000 years for TP. Things are dire.
Just gonna have to wait for your grand children a few thousand generations removed to wipe your booty for you.

Went to the Costco and they appear to have come up with a clever idea to forestall all the TP pandemonium. They made a row with nothing but TP, paper towel and hand sanitizers with signs saying "two per customer only." In curious how well customers will follow that in the months after we get our first case.

People have gone way over the top about Toilet Paper buying, and now supermarkets over here they limit what you can buy.

When I was in Singapore the rumour was that they need the same paper for toilets as they do in face masks so supllies were supposed to become scarcer as mask production increased.

Y'all should've seen the situation that unfolded at Home Depot when my boss was trying to buy me the last respirator mask cause we were working with asbestos. She literally hit him and tried to take it out of his hand. Lucky for her he didn't want to press charges...

Ammunition sales have suddenly skyrocketed in the US: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/g...ales-jump-as-americans-stock-up-for-covid-19/ Guess people are planning to improve their personal protection capabilities.

As for the situation in my country, we've had the first couple cases just 20 kilometers away from my place so I guess I can say the virus is here. Today I wanted to go to the mall and do some shopping, but right in front of the entrance I saw it was pretty crowded in there so I turned around and went home. No need to take unnecessary risks I guess. The flu is also going round and that's not good either.

Protect themselves from what exactly? You can't shoot a virus. Stockpiling ammunition is some straight-up paranoia that the world is going to collapse. If you're going to stockpile anything it should be Tylenol since if things really get bad, that will be the first thing that you actually need and isn't available.
