Not much I can say to this @Shaun. I think you've said it all. My heartfelt condolences to your neighbour and his family. So I got a message from my neighbour yesterday asking am I home to which my reply was no sorry but Mrs Shaun is at home but in bed. She says ok hang on a second I'll message you again.
Sitting in the carpark at McDonald's waiting to pick up my son from work the next message comes through and my jaw just drops.
"Hey Shaun I don't know how to break this but my daughter died a couple of days ago after contracting Covid from her son".
First stop when I get home is to see her obviously then go break it to my wife.
Colleen (the lady who passed away) had some medical issues including asthma, diabetes and MS.
The MS part is what scares the crap out of me because Mrs Shaun also has MS.
No doubt she had contributing factors to her death but she would still be here if she didn't catch Covid.
I tell you what I'm a very accepting man of others and their choices but these ing plague rat * are really pushing my patience.
Sometimes just sometimes you need to think of others more than yourself when living in a society.
RIP Colleen.
Thanks Mikey, they would appreciate it.Not much I can say to this @Shaun. I think you've said it all. My heartfelt condolences to your neighbour and his family.
Update: they have retracted this because it didn't pass through Congress or something. Some ETA act or something to do with OSHA?Company I work for sent out an email this morning, effective February 9th all employees must be vaccinated or submit to weekly testing.
Bummer. They should have stuck by that policy, lots of other companies have similar policies.Update: they have retracted this because it didn't pass through Congress or something. Some ETA act or something to do with OSHA?

Keep yourselves safe, I have similar fears for my partner due to her illnesses and watching people just not giving a hoot boils my piss too.
The researchers from the Medical University of Bialystok found that the gene was the fourth most important factor determining how seriously a person suffers from COVID-19, after age, weight and gender.
The gene is present in around 14% of the Polish population, compared to 8-9% in Europe as a whole and 27% in India, said Marcin Moniuszko, the professor in charge of the project.
Will you be getting your jab in the arm or in your humongous...?The missus has been updated 13 hours ago and apart from the fuzzy feeling in the brain, and a mildly sore arm, it seems that needle number 3 of Pfizer is the mildest so far. I'm getting mine in 12 hours.
Hopefully no sneeze attack this time. The missus has been updated 13 hours ago and apart from the fuzzy feeling in the brain, and a mildly sore arm, it seems that needle number 3 of Pfizer is the mildest so far. I'm getting mine in 12 hours.
I got my Pfizer booster yesterday and so far so good, only a sore arm like the first two.The missus has been updated 13 hours ago and apart from the fuzzy feeling in the brain, and a mildly sore arm, it seems that needle number 3 of Pfizer is the mildest so far. I'm getting mine in 12 hours.
The British drugmaker said its new antibody therapy reduced the risk of people developing any COVID-19 symptoms by 77% in a late-stage trial.
While vaccines rely on an intact immune system to develop an arsenal of targeted antibodies and infection-fighting cells, AstraZeneca's AZD7442 therapy consists of lab-made antibodies that are designed to linger in the body for months to stifle the coronavirus in case of an infection.

Penny Ward, Visiting Professor in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Kings College in London, said the news bode well for people who have responded poorly to vaccination or who must take immune-suppressants for post-transplant, autoimmune disease and other conditions.
Same reaction I had to the same shot.Had my booster yesterday and it's currently 3 in the morning and I'm shivering and feel a bit sick. Felt a bit spaced out yesterday as well. Still, nearly there, another 24 hours and hopefully will be back right as rain. Had Moderna..
It was the arm. Will you be getting your jab in the arm or in your humongous...?
