Posted a good time after only a few laps, then started making too many mistakes trying to push too hard...
1:32.840 - Loose setup
1:32.840 - Loose setup
While we're having a bit of a break, I figured I might as well share this in case anyone's interested...
I've been keeping a little spreadsheet going of all the results of these TT's, so if anyone wants a quick reference to what we've run, where, winning times and top 3 finishers here it is -
1:43.619 - Stable setup
Tried Loose first but Stable is much better, the car feels more planted in the corners, which saved me ~1.5s in total.
Very fun track, very smooth car, great fun combo.
Btw the 9th of April is a Thursday I guess you meant 5th?
One of my favourite cars, at a circuit I have no idea of...
Still learning, still miles off the pace, but on the other hand - return of the dangle...

I failed to notice I had assists on in my first session...so when I turned them off in this one, I shaved almost half a second off.
1:43.140 - Stable, no assists
Top spot!
I'll be having a try over the weekend!! Haven't played PCARS 2 in months!
Nice one Mr Hamster 👍 - still got it
Close but no cigar for me on this one - went for another run, hit a new best on my third lap, then spent the next hour trying too hard to beat it! I've got a 42.9 there somewhere, but I'll have to settle for a 1:43.317

Lap...
Great time Hammy! There goes my win streak, beaten by less than 1/10th of a second...what a way to go. It was bound to happen eventually.
I've got to ask one related question; My T150 makes a strange grinding noise when it's booting up, only while turning right...but it's fine when I'm racing. I'm a bit worried, it's been doing it the last 3 times. Any idea what it might be, or why?
Ahh, well I have kept the FFB set to 75% from the start, but decided to crank it to 100% recently to see if it felt better, and it had, so I kept it there. It does get a bit warmer now but I wouldn't call it hot. Thanks man, and yes so very close.....Surprised I was able to get among you guys first time out, haven't played the game for a good few months, cheers again mate!
Yes, I have had that noise when the wheel calibrates, when I start up the PS4, and a little bit when playing too..... But It only does it on mine in the cold weather though, which makes me think it's the grease inside the mechanism, and bearings, that goes a bit thick with the cooler ambient temperature. These months here in my summer time - 3 months of 30 plus degrees every day - it hasn't made the noise once.
You could maybe take the wheel apart if it's that bad, and lubricate the mechanism, but I'm sure it's ok. On thing I did a while ago was turn down the wheel's default FFB via my laptop. I think it's on 75% out of the box, I turned mine down to about 50%, and there's still lots of FFB on the wheel. It's a good idea to do it, to preserve the motor inside.
I've also heard of T150s that get hot when playing, but mine has always run cool, again it could be to do with people having high FFB, which stresses the motor.
I hope that helps, and reassures you mate!
How close you are guys, well done!
I'm not so far, but still, over 2 seconds...
But was driving only one day, I belive I could go into 44 time.
Loose was better to me, going crazy at corners, but faster, I was able to drive multiple laps in under 46 streak.
Speaking about wheel, G29 is going hot too and I'm not sure I have really good settings - it's custom ones, bcs ones that was suggested are simply destroying my deck with vibrations...
And incredibly, Hamster again founds winning time in "last seconds"
If you all want to, we could start the next TT a bit soon than next Monday.......Look out for an announcement!
No objection here! As "things to do in lockdown" go, hotlapping is always a fun option
